Embark on your South Island adventure with Donut, the ultimate campervan for comfort and convenience! Designed for ease of driving and packed with features, Donut is your home away from home. Inside, you'll find a luxurious queen size bed with topper pad and a down duvet, a fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of storage to keep your journey organised. The kitchen includes a fridge, a 25 litre water supply connected to a sink with tap and ample storage for cooking gear and groceries. There is a spacious benchtop inside and a pop out side bench for extending when the van door is open. We provide two gas cookers; a twin gas cooker with a 2kg bottle and a single gas cooker that is perfect for heating water in the kettle for your morning coffee. A portable table and 2 x camp chairs are provided to enjoy outdoor cooking and dining. The high roof creates a roomy living area, while blockout curtains and adjustable lighting add a warm, cosy atmosphere for evenings in. There are mesh screens on the windows to keep sandflys out. Donut is powered by a solar panel and dual deep-cycle batteries which ensures plenty of power for your fridge, lights, and electronics, keeping you off-grid ready. Need to bring bikes? A bike rack is available upon request, making it easy to explore even more of New Zealand's stunning landscapes. Pick up and drop off are in Frankton, Queenstown just 5 minutes walk from the airport and we are flexible with pick up and drop off times, we will work in with what works best for you. Hiring rules

South Island touring only.
No smoking in the van.
Keep the van door open if cooking inside the van.
Can go on smooth gravel roads but not extreme 4WD roads. No ski fields sorry.
A 200km per day distance allowance is included in the hire, averaged over the whole trip. There is a $200.00 charge if this is exceeded.
Portaloo Only use if absolutely necessary. If used, empty the cassette into a designated waste disposal point and clean it thoroughly. If portaloo is not emptied and cleaned a $300.00 charge will incur.
Campervan must be returned with a full tank of petrol (unleaded 91) all dishes clean and rubbish removed, a $200.00 fee will be incurred if van is returned without this done.

Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

Pricing

Hire Fee: From $169.00 per day
Service fee: $90.00

Cancellations

Strict

Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

We had the best time in donut. Donut took us from A to B with no issues. Shes a little slow on an incline but nothing she cant handle. Donut was clean and had all the facilities we needed for our time in NZ. Katie and her partner Ash were incredible support through the trip, responding to minor issues with electricity and helping us fix the problem. They also gave out handy tips of things to do. If youre thinking about booking donut you wont regret it.

Donut was a great van for a trip from Queenstown up to Mt Cook/Aoraki and Lake Tekapo. The van was very clean and spacious in the back with enough room to fit in the bed given my height being 197cm (the bed was also very comfortable too). The kitchen portion of the van was very well thought out with a pump for the internal water tap, powered fridge, enough utensils/kitchenware, and electrical ports for charging items and lighting. The only comment is the leg room in the driver's seat however most people shouldn't have an issue with this leg room. It was also nice to be able to connect to bluetooth in the van to play music/podcasts. All in all, it was a great self sufficient van and Katie & Ash were very helpful and clear with communication of the booking. Highly recommend Donut

Donut was great for our trip from Milford Sound up to Lake Tekapo, the van had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable to sleep two. The van was more fuel efficient than I was expecting which was nice. Katie was also very friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend donut.

We had an excellent time with Donut, thanks to Katie! The van was fully equipped for a self-sufficient week away, with a well-thought-out setup that made everything easily accessible. Before departing Queenstown, we received clear instructions from Katie, so we didnt have to spend time figuring out the vans functions. The mattress was spacious and comfortable. The car drove smoothly, and we had no issues with its day-to-day operation. Highly recommend!
