  The van was amazing! It was everything we needed and ran super smoothly. Zsuzsi was also great, communicating fast and was super accomodating. I couldn't recommend this van more.

  Big El is a great vehicle, has everything we needed for our 2 week honey moon trip around the South Island! It was proper comfy and easy to drive, setting up the bed and all cooking facilities were easy to access and well thought through! Also great feature of the solar panel, kept all of our devices juiced up the whole time with no worries! Zsuzsi and Rhy were amazing at answering all of our questions very promptly, would highly recommend Big El for a trip with one or two people to explore the amazingly beautiful New Zealand!!

  The van was just perfect for our short trip to Milford Sound. Car was very clean, easy to drive, and the size is just perfect for 2 people. The host was also very kind and communicated with us effectively. Definitely recommended!

  Big El was our fantastic little home for our 2 week holiday. The handover process was easy at the beginning, and Rhys was kind enough to lend us his speaker for the trip - made a huge difference! The van was definitely built with storage in mind, since we found easy ways to unpack, stow away and utilise all bits of space to make our nights/mornings easy. Driving the van is really easy and comfortable, and we used all items (not the toilet) available in the van. Pantry items included plates, bowls, cutlery, paper towels, dishwashing items and wine glasses. The solar powered battery was also a game changer with our charging needs. It was really easy to charge phones/watches everyday, as well as using the fridge. Assembling & disassembling the bed was also easy to figure out. It was great that we could have a couch for dinner, then stretch out. We also used the camping chairs provided plenty of times. The linen was super comfy and the bed could fit my 6ft partner! Though, space is limited when sleeping so we tried to be as still as possible. We unfortunately experienced a flat battery towards the end, but AA was really helpful and responsive within 2 hours. No issues in fixing the battery, only the wait time! Overall, we had a fantastic experience with the van. We really appreciated all communications and friendliness of Zsuzsi and Rhys. I asked a million questions before my booking started and they took the time to answer everything, as well as my last minute ones when I arrived! Thank you both so much, the van was perfect for us.
