I have recently purchased Herbie as I am wanting to go on some adventures around NZ but also to rent her out for others to enjoy. She is a compact well-designed campervan for the comfort of two people. Herbie is Green Cert self-contained with a permanent bed, no need to be making it up each day, and the bed lifts up to provide massive storage underneath. It has a great pull-out kitchen set up at the back of the vehicle for all your cooking needs incl gas hobs and little sink to wash up. The area behind the drivers seat allows for comfortable sitting inside should you have some rough weather on your travels. I have just been away in Herbie for the weekend and she travelled beautifully, the set up at our destination was very simple and quick. Herbie is awaiting you to come and enjoy our beautiful New Zealand and to make memories of your own.

Hiring rules

1. No Smoking Inside / no pets OR pets only upon application
2. No off road driving/beach driving/extended driving on gravel roads
3. Driving on unsealed roads must be preapproved in writing (in Camplify Messages) before the trip begins
4. Any damage must be reported immediately who, what, where and when will be required
5. Pull over immediately if any engine lights come on. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe and call CAMPLIFY on 03 668 1211 they will advise on how to contact roadside assistance. Then call me!
6. Cooking gas to be returned full refill from petrol stations and keep the receipt
7. Payment of a deposit is required within 48hours otherwise your booking maybe cancelled
8. Fuel tank must be refilled upon end of hirage/returning to owner

Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Pricing

Hire Fee: From $110.00 per day
Service fee: $100.00

Cancellations

Strict

Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

Dee is a awsome woman! She was very helpfull and tryed her best do everything she could! The van had some issues when we rented her but she tryed her best to make it work, that is sometimes even more important. We are sure that if some of the issues are sorted out the van is the right van for sunny days in New Sealand and is basicly all you really need for a long trip (we rented herbie for 1 month)

Herbie is a great van to travel in. Drives very well, the bed is comfortable, and the van has everything I needed and more besides. With the solar and house battery plus inverter I was able to use freedom camping spots as often as I wanted, and avoid the extra costs of having electric hookup when I did stay on a commercial campground. I used the power for lighting, charging phones and running my laptop. I don't think I got anywhere near draining the battery. The permanent bed set up is very easy to manage, and facilitates quick transitions from camping to getting on the road in the mornings, and vice versa in the evenings. Herbie is in great condition, very tidy, comfortable and functional throughout. Dee is very friendly and easy to deal with, clear in her communication and obviously works hard to provide Herbie in great condition and very well equipped.
