Hi, I'm Dee

We hired Herbie for 3 weeks for our trip around the South Island and we have nothing but amazing things to say. We are not exaggerating when we say that you won't find a better set up than this in a small sized van. Dee has put so much thought into fitting Herbie out - you will want for nothing! The solar and off-grid battery system was epic and didn't miss a beat on our free-camp nights. The huge amount of storage made our trip so easy - no shuffling things around every time you pull up somewhere. And the bed - wow! Super comfy large memory foam mattress that stays set up when you travel. Just pull up at camp and jump into bed. We saw so many people struggling with huge vans they couldn't park, or tiny ones they had to pull everything out of just to set up their bed. We had none of those issues with Herbie! Dee was so wonderful to hire from and we will be back to hire Herbie again in the future for sure.

Dee is a awsome woman! She was very helpfull and tryed her best do everything she could! The van had some issues when we rented her but she tryed her best to make it work, that is sometimes even more important. We are sure that if some of the issues are sorted out the van is the right van for sunny days in New Sealand and is basicly all you really need for a long trip (we rented herbie for 1 month)

Herbie is a great van to travel in. Drives very well, the bed is comfortable, and the van has everything I needed and more besides. With the solar and house battery plus inverter I was able to use freedom camping spots as often as I wanted, and avoid the extra costs of having electric hookup when I did stay on a commercial campground. I used the power for lighting, charging phones and running my laptop. I don't think I got anywhere near draining the battery. The permanent bed set up is very easy to manage, and facilitates quick transitions from camping to getting on the road in the mornings, and vice versa in the evenings. Herbie is in great condition, very tidy, comfortable and functional throughout. Dee is very friendly and easy to deal with, clear in her communication and obviously works hard to provide Herbie in great condition and very well equipped.
