If you have time I would advise the ferry for a scenic trip over to the shore. Taxi: Uber or Bolt is the quickest and most convenient way of getting to us. Grab a sim in the airport or use the free airport wifi. TENT SET UP GUIDE: For people who have not used a rooftop tent/awning before, I will provide a tutorial on pick-up to help you familiarise yourself with the setup for the tent, awning and BBQ, whilst also showing you all of our inclusions. Please allow at least 1 hour for the handover. DROP OFF: Please allow for at least 30 minutes for the drop off. I will need to quickly check over the car, tent and equipment to finalise the booking. Should you have any questions, we are more than happy to help. The best form of communication for us whilst you're away will be via WhattsApp.

We booked the camper for three weeks (30th January 19th February) and had an amazing time. On the first day, Tristan gave us a comprehensive introduction to the car, how to unfold the rooftop tent, how to open and store the awning as well as how to handle the BBQ, the gas cooker and the rest of the equipment. He also gave us tips for our journey and was usually available via phone during our trip. The car was very reliable and well-equipped, our experience was quite positive. I would recommend booking the car. Future tenants may consider leaving the BBQ and gas bottle at Tristan's home due to their bulkiness. We just used them weekly because of the cleaning effort, while the gas cooker, pot, and pan were more efficient for us. Another recommendation: During our trip, we primarily booked powered campsites as it was very convenient for charging our iPads, phones, and lights overnight. Therefore, it is important to have an adapter with a three-pole CEE plug, which costs approximately $120 in New Zealand. I recommend bringing your own adapter with about 20 meters of cable, as we did, if you plan to use powered campsites during your trip.

Kia Ora, Originally from the UK, I made the move to New Zealand in 2013 after university, and quickly fell in love with this stunning country. Im fortunate to now call New Zealand home. Together with my partner, Liv, and our dog Barney, we're always seeking new adventures whether it's a local walk or a more far-reaching trip within NZ. We've developed an appreciation for New Zealand's natural beauty, and we love combining that with the comforts of home. Our rooftop tent has been the perfect solution, allowing us to embrace the best of both worlds. We're excited to share our camping experiences with others and help them discover the same joy we've found.
