Hiring rules

  • 1. No offroad driving / beach driving / extended driving on gravel roads.
  • 2. Driving on unsealed roads must be preapproved in writing (in Camplify Messages) before the trip begins.
  • 3. No smoking inside / pets only upon application / no festivals.
  • 4. Awning must be packed away before bad weather arises.
  • 5. Vehicle must be returned cleaned or you’ll risk a cleaning fee, including emptying of wastewater tank.
  • 6. Standard pickup / dropoff times are 10am / 5pm.
  • 7. Any damage must be reported immediately – who, what, where and when will be required.
  • 8. Pull over immediately if any engine lights come on. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe and call Camplify on 0800 779 779 – they will advise on how to contact roadside assistance. Then call me!
  • 9. Cooking gas to be returned full – refill from petrol stations and keep the receipt
  • 10. Payment of a deposit is required within 48hrs of your booking being approved, otherwise I may cancel it.
  • 11. Road User Charges are additional to your daily set rate and charged at 0.09c per km travelled.
  • 12. Diesel to be filled prior to return.
  • 13. Watch "River Rest User Guide 6 Berth Motorhome" Youtube instructional guide before pick up.
  • Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Strict

  • Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    We're first timers. The trip was fantastic but it took the family some time to get used to the van. Not me though. Lol loved it! Adrian and I did a handover. I was late returning due to the Toit hikoi participants travelling to Porirua and Wellington.

    Good little van, drives well. Has basic supplies, very comfortable bed, good layout. We experienced various issues, but the only one that really mattered was the solar panel not charging the house battery.
