Do you like comfort, style and living space with privacy. This Mercedes Sprinter (Berkshire Auto Sleeper) is in the prestigious range with many features. The 2 settees pull out to make 2 beds each 1 m wide or when converted into the full Monty, a larger than king size bed of 2.2 m wide. Mesh screens on all cabin windows plus black out blinds on all windows including the windscreen and driver windows. An efficient heater(feeds cabin and shower), fridge with freezer, cooker with 3 gas and 1 electric hobs, oven and grill. All these appliances have the option of external power supply. Opening ceiling windows allow fresh air and cooking extraction / ventilation. Music from the radio and cd player conduct to the cabin. A huge wardrobe, generous locker space and pantry. The shower can be closed off from the toilet. The Automatic Transmission is complete with Cruise Control and a Breeze to drive. There is an inverter for phone charging if required.

Additional information

We are situated in Picton, convenient for the ferry services and we offer a complimentary pick up and delivery to the ferry terminal if required. Alternatively, your car can be securely housed on our section during the hire.

Hiring rules

No smoking inside vehicle.
No off road or beach driving.
Van must be cleaned, toilet and waste water emptied, fuel tank and both gas bottles refilled.
Ruc's calculated at 0.9c per km on return.

Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Pricing

Hire Fee: From $240.00 per day
Service fee: $50.00

Cancellations

Flexible

Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

The time we had around the South Island was good, the space worked ok for us. However, it wasn't until we picked up the van that we were told the toilet did not flush. Ernest also told us the main door wouldn't always unlock and that the bottom step down had to be manually operated. We found we couldn't get the TV to work.

We had a great holiday, the van had all that we needed but you just have to be aware that this is an older van and little things break or just don't work properly. But the price also reflects this so you get a fair deal. The owner was always on hand to help us.

It took us a couple of days to figure out how to work everything but once we got the hang of it, it was great. Absolutely everything we needed was hidden in the van somewhere. We had a no stress holiday and really enjoyed exploring the West Coast.
