We are happy to pick up customers from the Airport. On arrival we usually meet at the Woolworths Supermarket Car Park, 5 minutes walk from the Christchurch Airport Terminals. We are also happy to arrange pick ups and drop offs within the Christchurch metropolitan area too. The Supermarket carpark has a specified camper parking area, large enough for Rae. We encourage you to use the airport trolleys to bring your luggage and we will return them to the airport for you after the handover. We have to do the pick up this way because Rae is too long to get into the pick up zone in the airport carpark. It usually takes an hour to do the handover and being next to Woolworths, grocery shopping is within walking distance. To make your trip easier, we are able to store your bulky suitcases at home whilst you are away. On return, we meet again at the Woolworths Supermarket, we do our handover, then we drive you into the airport and pretend to be a bus, stopping at the bus stop which is much closer to the terminal.

Hiring rules

• NO SMOKING inside Rae.
• NO OFFROAD / NO Beach Driving / NO Extended Gravel Roads
• UNSEALED roads use must be preapproved in writing in Camplify Messages before you arrive in Christchurch.
• EMERGENCY If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, call Camplify on 0800 779 779
• DAMAGE If damage happens, you must report it immediately who, what, where and when information will be required.
• CLEANING Return the van in clean condition. If excessive cleaning is required this will incur a charge.
• Please be familiar with the exclusions, terms and conditions of the booking.
• LONG TRIPS Hirers are welcome to take the van up to 200 kilometres per hired day. This will be averaged out over the duration of hire Example: for 7 days hire, 7 x 200km Allowance: 1000km for hire permitted within the rate; additional kms will be charged at 30c per km and deducted on completion of the hire.
• FUEL Return full of DIESEL All hires include a full tank upon return to Christchurch.
• CLEANING Clean the equipment and Van inside. If excessive cleaning is required it will incur a charge.
• COOKING GAS included within hire rate.
• NO PETS
• NO FESTIVALS
• HIRER AGE restrictions (25 minimum)
• FREE CAMPING is allowed with prior discussion at time of hire.
• RUC Charges $9.00 per 100km, Camplify will deduct on completion of the hire.
• Please take care in driving and parking Rae as she has a high roof and big tail end. However she has a backing camera to avoid any backing catastrophes. It is advised that someone is outside of the vehicle when backing into or out of a tight site.
• If you are choosing to hire our bikes we ask that you keep them secure at all times. Locks will be provided.
• We expect our drivers to abide by New Zealand Law including not drinking alcohol and driving.

• Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

  We recently hired a motorhome from Jackie and James for our 19-day adventure around the South Island of New Zealand, and it was absolutely perfect in every way. The motorhome had everything we needed and everything we didnt even know we wantedcomfortable, spotless, well-equipped, and incredibly easy to live in for nearly three weeks on the road. From the moment we picked it up, Jackie and James were exceptional hosts. Their communication was friendly and prompt, and they took the time to walk us through every detail so we felt confident and ready to go. Its clear they take great pride in their motorhome and go above and beyond to make sure guests have an unforgettable experience. The motorhome handled beautifully across every landscapefrom winding mountain passes to coastal viewpointsand gave us the freedom to explore the South Island at our own pace with total comfort. We couldnt have asked for a better setup or better hosts. Highly recommended, and we would absolutely hire from Jackie and James again!

  We hired this immaculate motorhome from Jackie & James. It was spacious, comfortable and had been beautifully laid out for us - Jackie was incredibly kind and helpful to us all through the entire duration of the hire and made sure we knew exactly what was what before setting off, we also had weather updates communicated to us for our itinerary and she was always at the end of the phone if we had any questions or concerns. Overall we would highly recommend Jackie & James and definitely hire from them again for future New Zealand travels!

  We had a wonderful holiday in Rae! We are a family of two kids (aged 5 and 9) and two adults. The kids enjoyed their own space in the generous sized bunks (king single sized). Us grown ups slept above the cab. The bed was comfortable but beware accessing it if elderly or mobility issues. Also the person lying closest to the wall has limited head room - I soon got used to it but definitely hit my head a few times overnight to start with! James and Jackie were excellent hosts - Met us at the airport and gave a very detailed handover. We had everything we needed on board and the home baked cake was a lovely touch. They stored our suitcases while we were away so we didnt have to carry around extra luggage and then kindly dropped them off to use the night before departure so we could pack up. All in all a fantastic trip! 100% recommend.
