Meet “Conrad” — a tidy 2019+ Suzuki Jimny 2-door, set up for winter ski trips and alpine day missions around Queenstown and the south island. The Jimny’s compact size makes it easy to park around town, at the airport, or at busy ski-field car parks, while its capable 4×4 setup makes it well suited to the south islands winter roads, alpine valleys, gravel access roads, and mountain-town exploring. For winter, Conrad is fitted with roof racks for skis and snow boards and comes with snow chains provided, making it a practical and fun option for trips to Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Cardrona, Treble Cone, Mt Hutt, Dobson, Ohau and the Craigieburn club fields or a scenic winter road trip around Central Otago. Please note: this is a vehicle-only winter hire. No camping equipment is provided. This hire is ideal if you want a compact, capable vehicle for: Ski-field day trips to ski and snow board School holiday adventures Winter weekends around Queenstown and Wānaka Scenic alpine drives Gravel road access and mountain-town exploring Travelling light with ski or snowboard gear We manage the vehicle from Queenstown and provide a full handover, including basic vehicle operation, ski rack use, snow chain guidance, and local winter driving tips. Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Great compact 4x4 to enjoy all the beautiful roads in the southern island! The car is well equipped with pretty much all the stuff needed for a great road trip. Only downside is maybe the fridge that we didnt use, but if you know where to go and how to organise your meals youre not really gonna need it. The tent is comfy and easy to set up, you only need 2 minutes to set it and 5/10 minutes to put it back. We had some rainy nights but everything stayed dry. For the price this is one of the best options you have to drive around the southern island.

    My partner and I travelled the South Island for 2 weeks in this cute little Jimny. We had an overall pleasant experience and the communication with Tim was swift and pleasant. Only things that could be improved and that are quite important to know for longer-term rentals is sleep comfort (the mattress is very thin and there are no pillows) and the car could be slightly better equipped (e.g. better quality and durable cooking equipment and a fridge that refrigerates food when the car is parked).
