Great compact 4x4 to enjoy all the beautiful roads in the southern island! The car is well equipped with pretty much all the stuff needed for a great road trip. Only downside is maybe the fridge that we didnt use, but if you know where to go and how to organise your meals youre not really gonna need it. The tent is comfy and easy to set up, you only need 2 minutes to set it and 5/10 minutes to put it back. We had some rainy nights but everything stayed dry. For the price this is one of the best options you have to drive around the southern island.

My partner and I travelled the South Island for 2 weeks in this cute little Jimny. We had an overall pleasant experience and the communication with Tim was swift and pleasant. Only things that could be improved and that are quite important to know for longer-term rentals is sleep comfort (the mattress is very thin and there are no pillows) and the car could be slightly better equipped (e.g. better quality and durable cooking equipment and a fridge that refrigerates food when the car is parked).
