You can hire out a tent and sleeping gear for an additional $100.00 per week if you want to add more people than 2! Due to distance from airport, any additional pick-up or drop-off from airport will incur a $100.00 fee each.

  Pippin is the best van ever. Period. I had an amazing adventure all over the South Island with Pippin to take me there. Everything was very easy to use; the cooking materials were convenient and easy to whip out a meal. The decorations and aesthetics were everything, really added to the whimsey of my trip. Joseph was extremely helpful and communicative, walking me through everything I needed to know. Pick up and drop off process was very easy, again, thanks to Joseph. Even though it's an older van, it felt very trustworthy and in great condition. Despite needing to put some peddle to the metal to get up big hills, it never felt like it was going to give out on me at any moment. The only things to note, that absolutely did NOT detract from my experience at all: The bed is a twin bed, so at 5'8" (172 cm) my feet did hang off a bit (didn't bother me at all). So, if you're a very tall lad or lady you may have to curl up a bit. There are also no bins to put your stuff, I kept all of mine tucked in my backpack tucked under the bed which worked for me (I had a 35L bag and a smaller hiking backpack), but something to consider if you have a lot of stuff. I highly recommend renting this van, you will have the best whimsical adventure all around New Zealand with Pippin!

  Pippin is such a cozy and lovely Van. The solar was strong enough to charge erverthing. The fridge and the BBQ ist more then a enough. Rainy days was also no problem, just stay inside the van, it doesn't feel like a van, it's a hobbit hole. So many small details. Joe is a nice person, he was so friendly and helpful.

  This van was epic! The theme is so cute and I had all the bits and pieces I needed to make for a great trip. Its summer but the van didnt get too warm during the day or at night, and the solar panels kept the battery charged up so the fridge ran all the time and I could charge all the electronics I had with me. Joe provided a very thorough explanation of where everything was located in the van and how to use it. I will definitely rent Pippin again!
