Hiring rules

• No Smoking , No Pet Allowed.
• Drivers must be 25 years and over.
• Drive on sealed roads only. Not to be driven on unsealed roads or beaches.
• We would really appreciate if you do not cook any strong smelling meals within the Motorhome eg. curries
• NO driving on any beach regardless if it is classify as a public road within NZ
• Gravel roads are not suitable for Motorhome and you are not covered by our insurance if you choose to venture on these back country tracks, these roads are dangerous. Some campsites are on well maintained gravel roads, these are the exception to this rule, but it is still advisable to check with the access information provided for that campsite.
• Ski Roads are not suitable for our Motorhome. You will need to catch shuttle transport from the resorts.
• The grey water/toilet cassette must be returned empty Fuel tank to be filled on return. Toilet, bathroom and kitchen must be clean and tidy on return; please use cleaning products provided.Failure to do so, will result $199.00 cleaning fee.
• We have prepurchased a set amount of RUC for your trip This amount will be calculated and charged at the rate of $0.09 per kilometre driven ($9.00 for 100 kilometres). This will be included in the drop of charges with Camplify at the end of the booking.
• LONG TRIPS Hirers are welcome to take the Campervan up to 200 kilometres a day. This will be averaged out over the duration of hire Example: 5 days hire 5 x 200km Allowance: 1000km for hire permitted in the rate, additional kms will be charged at 50c per km and deducted on completion of the hire.
• Gas Bottle is to be filled on return I am happy to top it up locally here in Christchurch after you have returned and I will provide receipts to be reimbursed and included in the drop off charges with Camplify.
• Emergency If any engine lights come on the dashboard, pull over immediately. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, call Camplify on 0800 779 779 they call the AA. Then call us.
• Accidents do happen If damage happens, you must report it immediately who, what, where and when will be required.
• Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

  Grant's van is very comfortable for two to four people travelling. My partner and I travelled around NZ in October and we found the gas/electric heater very useful. The campervan is well equipped with everything you need. There are plenty of towels, tea towels and blankets to keep you warm. The bathroom is spacious and being able to have a hot shower after a long day hiking was really enjoyable. Grant picked us up from the hotel on the first day and dropped us off to the airport on our last day which was very kind of him. When we got the campervan, Grant's communication was very clear and easy to understand and we found the beds already made for the night. Grant was also very accomodating about having a third person joining us only for a few nights. In summary, we highly recommend renting this campervan with Grant. Everything was good and we really enjoyed our trip.
