Captain Jack Sparrow is a very comfortable easy drive automatic motorhome. You can drive on a normal full car driver's licence. It has four seat The lay out has one double bed above the driver's cab, so you do not have to make it up every day - very convenient while on holiday! There is also two single/or make it into a double or queen as per your choice and comes with linen blankets and sheets It is fully equipped with all necessities including TV and our TV also reaches local channels,.. There are even solar panels installed to keep your house battery charged when you are freedom camping between staying at campsites. Also has a wind out awning for those very hot days, table and chairs for outdoors. There are windows around the sides which are tinted for more privacy and back of the motorhome which means that you have a panoramic view of the surrounding area. New Zealand has an abundance of lakes, rivers, mountains and sea so there is always a view! Northshore (We do not allow one way trip hire)

Hiring rules

1: All hirers must be over the age of 25 and hold a full drivers license with no
restrictions
2: No smoking in the vehicle or under the awning. Will result in excess cleaning fees
3: No Pets permitted
Blankets ,Pillows, and sheets included in the hire at no extra cost
4: Vehicle Must be returned with full tank of fuel, gas refilled and grey/black water tanks emptied. Failure to so will result in a Fee of $150.00 being charged

5 Sorry, no oneway hires are permitted
6: RUCs Road User Charges are additional and calculated via the vehicle's odometer reading at time of return. All Road User Charges (RUC) are charged at a rate of 0.09c
This can be calculated and paid in cash to owner
: (a) Vehicles can only be driven on sealed/bitume roads
(b) Vehicles are not permitted on Skippers Road (Queenstown), Ball Hutt Road (Mt. Cook), Ninety Mile Beach (Northland) and North of Colville Township (Coromandel Peninsula).
This vehical is also not permitted on any ski field access roads during the time of year that they operate
*Awning must be packed away before bad weather arises , ,wind etc
*Returned with toilet cassette emptied out at a dump station

Incorrect fuel is not covered by insurance so make sure you use diesel
Vehical uses diesel and height is 3.2 high ,so keep that in mind while driving
*Care for her as if she were your own
**Lastly we supply clean sheets bedding Pillows slips ,outdoor table and chairs ,lpg full bottle 9kg small one plate barbeque outdoor stove .if needed etc ,no extra charge to customer

Cancellations

Strict

Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

The van was what we expected and was a good and reliable companion on a three week trip. It needrd a thorough cleaning (cabinets and fridge) to meet our comfort expectations but that was it. A small issue with the water filter was solved quickly also due to John's quick responses and assistance. He really wants you to have a great time.

John's motorhome is perfectly equipped. We had no mecanical issue for 3 weeks. Easy to use. We travelled in NZ with pleasure, without the stress to drive a brand new motorhome. Communication with John was very easy. A warm welcome and good advice from him. We recommend !

Very well used van, thorough handover that took about 2 hrs so please allow for that. Personally we had to clean the van before feeling comfortable and had everything we needed.
