We had a great experience with renting motorbike from John. Very good communication, everything explained well, motorhome had everything that was needed to have perfect holidays. Highly recommended :-)

The van was what we expected and was a good and reliable companion on a three week trip. It needrd a thorough cleaning (cabinets and fridge) to meet our comfort expectations but that was it. A small issue with the water filter was solved quickly also due to John's quick responses and assistance. He really wants you to have a great time.

John's motorhome is perfectly equipped. We had no mecanical issue for 3 weeks. Easy to use. We travelled in NZ with pleasure, without the stress to drive a brand new motorhome. Communication with John was very easy. A warm welcome and good advice from him. We recommend !

Very well used van, thorough handover that took about 2 hrs so please allow for that. Personally we had to clean the van before feeling comfortable and had everything we needed.

John is a very considerate and attentive person. He explained everything to us the functioning about the campervan. It has everything you need. We took the ferry and travalled in the South Island too. Thank you John for all your advice !

My family of three enjoyed 3 weeks in campervan Capt Jack Sparrow while we toured the north and south islands of New Zealand. Some reasons we choose to book this campervan: it has plenty of room for the three of us, has more and larger windows than most other offerings which was important for us to enjoy the New Zealand blue skys and fresh air, is easy to drive automatic transmission, has rack for carrying bikes, and because it is not new we didn't need to worry about dealing with too much new gadgetry or adding minor ware and tear. The campervan proved to be just want we were looking for. I also found it easy to drive and relatively stable in some of the windy sections of road (maybe a benefit of the "dually" 4 rear tires). We also appreciated having quality knives and cooking tools on board. We ended up travelling as far south as Lake Wanaka before heading north again, covering 3500 Km in 3 weeks. We choose to not drive further so that we could spend some more time in some of our favorite places (Kaiteriteri and Rotorua). We stayed at at holiday parks or approved freedom camping spots (all easily identified using the free Rankers Camping NZ app). The owner John was very easy to communicate with. He spent the right amt of time familiarising us with the vehicle systems. John also provided some crucial info for us about needing to reserve the interisland ferry several days in advance, and this saved us from alot of potential troubles (FYI the Bluebridge interisland ferry cost us about 430 NZD for a one way trip and was about 100 NZD less expensive than the Interislander ferry we booked in the other direction). Return of the campervan was easy at end of trip: we simply cleaned and properly stowed the dishes, wiped surfaces, emptied the grey water. I dropped my family and luggage off at the airport before returning the campervan to John. I choose to pay John the RUC charges with NZ cash we easily obtained from an ATM at the market, then booked an UBER ride back to the airport (about a 40 min drive). All in all, this was a great way for us to see NZ! We hope to travel back to NZ within 5 years and would book Capt Jack Sparrow again.

John is great at communicating and making sure you know how everything works in the camper. The camper is well loved but it did amazing!! We had 4 adults and we had plenty of space. Everything worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend renting this camper

We highly recommend renting with John. The campervan was in excellent condition, tidy, clean and very well equipped for four person. Beds were very comfortable. Campervan drives smoothly under 100 kmh. John was also great with us. It was our first time on a campervan and John explained us very clearly every single gadget from the campervan. He was patient enough to let us try everything for ourselves and ask questions. He was also flexible on the return time.
