Boasting a funky retro set up, ample power, built-in heater and well-stocked kitchen including an oven, our van will transform your getaway holiday to the next level travel and culinary experience. We built this camper to enjoy our two passions – food and traveling. Enjoy fresh baked scones, bread or pizza in the oven. Bake a cake even! It's perfect for romantic getaways and those wanting to travel in a reliable van bursting with character and everything you need to have an amazing time. If you’re a culinary whizz, then this van is absolutely perfect for you. The van comes very well-equipped and is well insulated. Enjoy a 110L under-beach fridge/freezer, oven, hob, running water (23L), a top-of-line ventilation fan and in-built heater for comfort during colder months. Standing height is 160cm. The gas-powered heater keeps you cozy warm and there's ample onboard power (240amps) with a 600w inverter to run appliances such as laptops, chargers and on board stick blender. Recharging is via 250w solar, mains power or while driving. As long as there is decent amount of sunshine, you will not have to use a powered site. The superior quality foam-based bed is comfortable and extends to 186cm long (120cm wide). Easy attachable foil window blinds serve as thermal barriers and privacy at night. Magnetic mozi screens attach to the exterior sliding windows. There is ample storage to conveniently access clothes/gear and comes with a lock box for passports/cash/phones etc. The roof rack also includes a large lockable storage box for suitcases/backpacks etc. Includes outdoor table and chairs, awning and telescopic ladder. The kitchen has everything you need including an oven, stick blender, pots, pans, oven tray, muffin and cake tin, scales, plates, cutlery, zester, grater, over 30 spices/herbs and serving/storage containers etc. The van is a self-contained vehicle and complies with the freedom camping rules.

The service fee covers the gas for cooking and heating and all of the staple ingredients supplied which includes fresh ground coffee, tea, flour, sugar, cocoa, coconut, cornflour, yeast, baking powder, pasta, rice, oats, chickpeas, kidney beans, lentils, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, linseeds, balsamic and cider vinegar, olive oil, soy sauce, pomegranate molasses, spices and more... like wine and chippies! :) The van comes very well-equipped and is well insulated. Enjoy a 110L under-beach fridge/freezer, oven, hob, running water (23L), a top-of-line ventilation fan and in-built heater for comfort during colder months. Standing height is 160cm. Also included: Solar shower pack, UE boom, picnic blanket and a frisbee. Vehicle drop off available to/from Piction, Blenheim or Christchurch (chargable option)

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Amazing little van - perfect for my 16 days exploring the South Island. Had everything I needed and more - really cozy and well thought out layout and storage - and all the little extras made cooking so much easier. Anthony was really helpful in arranging pick up in Picton and drop off at Nelson airport and was quick to respond when I had a question during the hire. All in all a great experience - thank you!

    We had an awesome time in Anthony's campervan! So well setup with all the essentials you need to cook a meal, just get the fresh ingredients! Anthony was a great host, gave us really good advice about what to do in the area, and really wanted us to enjoy our experience, which we did! Can't wait to come back

    The whole van rental experience was fantastic. From Anthonys attention and the great tips he gave us for the trip, to the van itself, which was super comfortable, even though we had some bad luck with the weather. We didnt feel cold at all thanks to the heater, and the kitchen setup was very well equipped. There was honestly nothing missing. You can really tell Anthony does this with passion and made sure we had the best possible conditions for an unforgettable holiday.

    LOVELY VAN!! Anthonys van is gorgeous and perfectly set up to give you a fantastic place to stay and travel round NZ. Anthony was super easy to communicate with and has put so much thought into this van down the the finest details. Great cooking set up, made it very easy to make meals, snacks and cakes in the van. Very comfy and cosy. Cant recommend enough.
