Boasting a stylish retro set up, ample power and well-stocked kitchen including an oven, our van is designed to transform your getaway holiday to the next level travel and culinary experience. We built this camper to enjoy our two passions – food and traveling. Enjoy fresh baked scones, bread or pizza in the oven. Bake a cake even! It's perfect for romantic getaways and those wanting to travel in a reliable van bursting with character and every thing you need to have an amazing time. If you’re a culinary whizz, then this van is absolutely perfect for you. The van comes very well-equipped and is well insulated. Enjoy a 110L under-beach fridge/freezer, oven, hob, running water (23L), a top-of-line ventilation fan and in-built heater for comfort during colder months. Standing height is 160cm. The gas-powered heater keeps you cozy warm and there's ample onboard power (240amps) with a 600w inverter to run appliances such as laptops, chargers and on board stick blender. Recharging is via 250w solar, mains power or while driving. As long as there is decent amount of sunshine, you will not have to use a powered site. The superior quality new foam-based bed is comfortable and extends to 186cm long (120cm wide). Easy attachable foil window blinds serve as thermal barriers and privacy at night. Magnetic mozi screens attach to the exterior sliding windows. There is ample storage to conveniently access clothes/gear and comes with a lock box for passports/cash/phones etc. The roof rack also includes a large lockable storage box for suitcases/backpacks etc. Includes outdoor table and chairs, awning and telescopic ladder. The kitchen has everything you need including an oven, stick blender, pots, pans, oven tray, muffin and cake tin, scales, plates, cutlery, zester, grater, over 30 spices/herbs and serving/storage containers etc. The van is a self-contained vehicle and complies with the new Freedom camping rules. Price includes unlimited kms and includes a UE boom and solar shower.

The service fee covers the gas for cooking and heating and all of the staple ingredients supplied which includes fresh ground coffee, tea, flour, sugar, cocoa, coconut, cornflour, yeast, baking powder, pasta, rice, oats, chickpeas, kidney beans, lentils, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, linseeds, balsamic and cider vinegar, olive oil, soy sauce, pomegranate molasses, spices and more... like wine and chippies! :) Also included: Solar shower pack, UE boom, picnic blanket and a frisbee. Price includes unlimited kms.

Cancellations

Flexible

Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

We rented Anthonys van for a month and the experience was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Anthony is a fantastic host: very available, responsive, and always happy to help if you have any questions. Communication was smooth and reassuring throughout the entire rental. The van is extremely well maintained, reliable, comfortable, and perfectly equipped for a long trip. Everything you need to cook great meals is provided, which is truly comforting on the road! Theres also plenty of storage space, which makes life in the van even easier. You quickly feel at home in it, which makes all the difference over a longer period. Everything matched the description (or was even better!). A huge thank you to Anthony for his trust and kindness. We had the most incredible time travelling in this van. Anthony and Susanna were wonderful and extremely helpful at all times. The van was so cozy and perfect for our adventures around the South Island. We even took advantage of the baking supplies and made ourselves a cake during our travels! Couldnt have asked for more.

Incredible camper with everything you could possibly need! From UE speaker to mosquito nets, the van is well kitted out. Anthony has thought of everything and cooking in the van is such a joy with all the extra spices and ingredients. Huge fridge (for a camper!) and great sink/washing up setup. Bed is comfy and blackout/insulating blinds work well. Anthony is also very helpful and was available on WhatsApp throughout our trip for any questions.

It was amazing! The van was a great base, really well equipped for everything I needed to explore. The kitchen was just perfect there was something genuinely magical about cooking outside in the fresh air, with the birds, the light, and the quiet around me. Those simple moments became some of the best memories of the trip. Anthony was so helpful with all the information about the van, and that made it instantly feel like a home on wheels. It was cosy and happy in a way that stayed with me the kind of place you look forward to returning to after a day out in the wilderness. Theres such a lovely feeling in travelling around the South Island, meeting new people, finding those quiet camp spots, and then coming home to your warm, comfortable base at the end of the day. It really made the whole holiday extra special. Thank you for a magical break on the South Island Id absolutely book this van again!

The van is amazing. It has all the amenities you could need & more than you can fathom. The bed sleeps fine and there is 2 of everything. The communication with Anthony & Elsie was good and the handover was efficiënt. The one thing I would like to mention is the gas mileage. The van drove, on average, 60L for 400km. This was not advertised (which I can understand)and gave us a bit of a mixed taste. The van is worth it very much, just be aware when planning
