Lenny is here to vroom you away for a weekend away or extended travel around stunning New Zealand by providing a reliable roof over your head and driving like a smooth operator. A self-contained modern van that can sleep 3 people. Seating in the back folds into a spacious bed for two people (length approx 185cm) and additional sleeping space for third person can be folded out under the high roof if required (length of the upper sleeping area is approx 170 cm). The van is very comfortable in its practical layout and the high roof provides a spacious atmosphere, enabling you to stand up inside the van when top bed is folded in. In-build kitchenette area is accessible from the front so that folded out beds will not prevent easy access. For your ease of travel, the van is kitted out with portable gas stove, basic kitchen necessities, fridge, camping chairs, ample storage, external power plug and external waste water disposal. Regarding electricity supply - the fridge and back interior lights are charged when van is driven and should have few days of supply if no driving is done. Also, this will not affect van engine battery itself (separate battery). Phone charging enabled via USB charger during driving. In order to use power sockets in the back for charging devices or plugging on any other electrical devices - the van needs to be connected to external power source (provided at campgrounds). Sleeping gear (blankets, pillows, linen) for hire if required for 25nzd per booking. Easy way to pick up the van is to use public bus network (ticket is 5nzd from airport, enables one transfer for the same ticket). You will have to transfer at the central station for another bus. It will take approx 1-1-5h but good news is that it is quite easy, cheap and the bus stop is right next to my house:)

***Important Information*** Average daily milage limit per hire period - 250km per day, 0.75cents per km after. Chemical Toilet: New Zealand is well set up with free public toilet but feel free to use the inbuild chemical toilet. Please return it cleaned and replace the fluid inside the collecting cassette. Before starting your travels, check both the fresh and waste water levels, oil, tyre pressure, and window wiper fluid. Regular checks are recommended for longer trips. Fuel – return the van with full tank of unleaded fuel. You will be provided with a full tank upon the start of your hire.

Hiring rules

  • No offroad driving / beach driving / extended driving on gravel roads
  • No smoking inside
  • Vehicle must be returned cleaned
  • No free camping
  • Festivals at prior agreement
  • Any damage must be reported immediately who, what, where, when
  • Pull over immediately if any engine lights come on, if an accident occurs get off the road, stay safe and call Camplify they will advise you on how to contact roadside assistance. Then call me!
  • Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Kristina was lovely at all times; the van is great, super easy to drive and very comfortable. New Zealand is an amazing country, and travelling around it like this is totally worth it.

    We have had a great time with 'Van der Full' and loved our journey through the south island with him. The van was equiped with everything we needed for the perfect trip and always did a reliable job. Kristiina ist just so lovely and the communication was very friendly and easy. Thanks a lot. We definitely can recommmend Van der Full and would take him again!

Hi folks, Im Kristiina! Originally from Estonia but but been growing roots in Christchurch, NZ for over a decade now. I work as a nurse and on my time off often head hiking in mountains, climbing, surfing or other equally fun shenanigans. I have had the good fortune to develop varied knowledge of the South Island so more than happy to pass on travel tips! Van der Full the van is a trusty companion in my life and journeys with it are undertaken with respect and care - so there would be future fun forever more!
