- These simple guidelines help ensure a smooth and comfortable trip.
- 🚍 HOW TO RETURN CANARY DA VAN:
- ✔️ Interior clean (as received)
- ✔️ Toilet cassette & wastewater tank emptied and cleaned
- ✔️ Diesel tank returned full (supplied full – return full)
- 🛞 DRIVER REQUIREMENTS:
- ✔️ Hirer must be 25 years or older
- ✔️ Must hold a full manual driver’s licence
- 🚫 WHAT IS & ISN’T ALLOWED:
- ⛔ No pets
- ⛔ No smoking inside the van
- ⛔ No offroad, beach, or skifield driving
- 👉 Canary Da Van is not built for rough terrain – please treat her gently!
- 🍳 COOKING GUIDELINES:
- We provide: 4x butane gas canisters + outdoor table & chairs.
- ✨ Best to cook outside whenever possible.
- If cooking inside, always keep airflow – open both windows or the side door.
- 🧯 Fire extinguisher, fire blanket, smoke detector & CO detector are all provided.
- ⚡ ELECTRICAL USAGE:
- Please use only ONE of these at a time:
- – External shower 🚿
- – Fridge ❄️
- – Diesel heater 🔥
- 💡 LED lights and USB ports can be used freely.
- ⚡️ This keeps the battery healthy and prevents damage.
- ⚡ Happy battery = happy hirer 😊
- 🛣 KILOMETRES & ROAD USER CHARGES (RUCs):
- 📍 200 km per day driving limit (average over your trip).
- Extra kms are fine – charged at $0.75/km (deducted from bond via Camplify).
- 💰 Diesel vehicles in NZ pay RUCs of $0.09/km (added to total distance driven).
- 🚨 IN CASE OF EMERGENCY:
- ⚠️ Engine light on? Pull over immediately and stay safe.
- ⚠️ Accident or damage? Move to a safe location and call Camplify 0800 779 799, then inform the owner.
- 💥 Report any damage straight away (who, what, where, when).
- 📷 Take pictures and collect licence & insurance details if others are involved.
- 🔒 Always lock the van when parked up (steering lock + key provided).

Cancellations
Flexible
- Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
- Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
- Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.
