Hiring rules

• 🚨 Emergency:
• If any engine warning lights come on, pull over safely and stop the vehicle. If there's an accident, move to a safe place and call Camplify Support on 03 668 1211 (Option 4). Your safety comes first!
• 🛠️ Damage:
• If any damage happens — no matter how big or small — please let us know straight away. We’ll need to know who, what, where, and when so we can assist and log it for insurance purposes if needed.
• 📏 Camper Height Awareness:
• Watch the height of the campervan — avoid lowhanging trees and covered carparks.
• 🚫 NoGo Zones & Rules:
• * No offroad driving
• * No beach driving
• * No smoking or vaping inside or near the campervan
• ⛽ Fuel:
• Your camper starts with a full tank — please return it full too.
• ✅ Fill up at Mobil Gas Station in Red Beach before returning.
• 🧽 Cleaning:
• Return the van and any equipment clean and tidy. If excessive cleaning is required, an extra charge may apply.
• ✅ Please ensure the following are done before returning:
• 🚽 Toilet emptied, rinsed, and cleaned
• 💧 Grey and black water tanks emptied
• 🧊 Fridge emptied, cleaned, and turned off
• 🗑️ Rubbish removed (you’re welcome to use Teresa’s bin at Red Beach)
• 🔥 Internal Cooking Gas:
• If you used the internal gas bottle, please refill it before returning (can be done at most petrol stations).
• 🌬️ Awning:
• Always put the awning away overnight or when it’s windy to avoid damage.
• 📅 Confirm Return Time:
• Please arrange and confirm your return time with Teresa before your return date.

• Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

  Book Karl the Camperyou will not regret it! He's loved, well cared for, and thoughtfully kitted out for tripping around New Zealand. The experience was seamless. Teresa was responsive, and incredibly helpful, making pick-up day a total breeze. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed (and more!) and Karl didnt skip a beat. Theres something special about exploring New Zealand with a campervan. This trip gave us memories for a lifetime. Highly, highly recommendthank you Teresa for sharing him with us and for helping make this journey truly unforgettable.

  Karl was super easy to drive, even on some recently graded gravel roads (bumpy!) and up the really steep hills. The top cabin worked well for a second sleeping chamber (top bunk sleeper does need to be pretty limber to climb up there). Kitchen was stocked enough for our simple meals, and the mini fridge was a great size for storing all our groceries and our Indian take-away. And theres a coffee plunger, thank goodness.

  We had a lovely holiday with Karl the Camper. We were two adults and two pre-schoolers and it was good although a little bit cramped. We had no issues with Karl on our 5 weeks trip and Teresa answered really quickly when we had a question. We can highly recommend her and Karl. :)

  We had an epic road trip adventure with Karl and had everything we needed. Karl is super comfortable to drive with the automatic gearbox and Apple Carplay makes it easy to navigate around New Zealand. You have everything on board for cooking and washing up. The three of us rented the camper for 2.5 weeks and drove almost 4000 km. Karl offers enough space for this if you put your luggage on the front seats for sleeping. Communication with Teresa was super friendly and smooth. We had a few difficulties with the fridge and Teresa immediately offered us a solution to the problem. We are very grateful to Teresa that we were able to rent Karl and have such a great time in New Zealand! A clear recommendation from us :)
