Welcome to my vehicle listing - Trusty is a 2000 2-berth Ford Transit. It's available for you to enjoy exploring the Beautiful North Island and beyond. The vehicle has one double bed or two singles so it's ideal for a couple or friends travelling together. The vehicle has a 2.5L diesel engine which makes it economical. "Road Users" tax of 09cents per km is charged on your return. If you are flying into Auckland, I am based in Central Auckland this makes for an ideal pickup location. The vehicle has all you need for a home on the road, the kitchen is fully equipped and includes a gas hob and oven, fridge/freezer, hot water, shower/toilet. Plenty of storage for your luggage. The vehicle can run for one day off grid on battery. There is an awning. Linen and bedding supplied. Thanks for checking out my motorhome, for further enquiries please submit a booking request.

Cancellations

Strict

  • Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Van is comfortable and well set up, you need to be confident in a diesel manual to get around. Pick up close to city. Owner is great.

    This van is comfortable to drive with nice cruiser seats, but a bit sluggish on steeper roads (ok, it's a van, not a race car!). The bed is large and very comfortable, and works well as a double couch (w table) during the day. Comes with a good fridge, hot & cold water sink, stove, o/h storage cupboards, and an alcove for luggage & bedding. Everything easy to use, and plenty of detailed written instruction provided by Patrick. Brakes and air-con needed a service, but ok. A reversing mirror (or camera!) and some extra storage (eg mesh cargo sacks) would be a bonus. Overall good value hire

    Trusty lived up to its name and was comfortable for the two weeks of my holiday. Patrick the owner was helpful and obliging and I would hire again.

    We were disappointed that we were only advised a few days before we picked up the van that we couldnt use the awning which was very inconvenient. There were only Flysreens on 1 window which was torn. The other window would not open and the ceiling vent had no flyscreen cover either. Everything else worked well enough and we enjoyed our holiday in the van.
