The perfect road trip companion! Gavan is a thoughtfully set-up Toyota Hiace, built for two, with pick up just a short distance from the Christchurch Airport. Whether you're after coastlines, mountains or hidden gems, this van makes travel simple, comfortable, and stress-free! Here's the low down: SLEEPING - With two comfortable single mattresses brought together as a queen you can sleep two with plenty of space either side - we sleep three with our 6 year old in the middle! - Woollen blankets and pillows are provided with the hire if you’d like to stick to your sleeping bags, or we can provide linen and a duvet as an optional extra. KITCHEN - Gavan comes with a two burner Great Outdoors gas stove and a 4kg gas bottle - Great size Brass Monkey Fridge / Freezer - Cooking essentials (pots, pans, plates, cups, kettle, utensils) - Thermos and mugs for enjoying a lakeside coffee - Fold-out table & two camping chairs for lakeside alfresco dining - Plenty of smart storage under both the bench and side seating for your dry goods WHEELS - Gavan is the SLWB Minibus version of the Toyota Hiace which means there’s plenty of room! Storage everywhere and you’ll never feel cooped up, even on the wettest of West Coast days, on your 7th round of cards. - Easy to drive Automatic transmission - Reliable as always Toyota 2.5L Diesel Engine will cruise perfectly on the highway and pull you up the hills with no trouble. - This is a personally built and maintained vehicle, with all regular servicing up to date with Toyota Christchurch and is presented in excellent condition inside and out. - The vehicle will come with a full tank of Diesel and is to be returned full. - RUCs are calculated at $0.09c a km and will be charged accordingly at the end of trip as per Camplify’s T&Cs. ACCESSORIES - Designed for simple, cozy living - Gavan has a remote controlled Maxxair Ventilation System to keep you cool and circulate air while you sleep. - The van itself comes with excellent Air Conditioning, so should you need to run the van’s engine on a hot day the A/C is incredibly effective at bringing the rear of the cabin down in temperature quickly. - Rear cabin lighting is powered off the dual leisure batteries which are charged through the day on solar and while you drive via a DC/DC charger. - There are multiple USB power ports available in the van to charge your devices overnight or throughout the day. - Gavan also has a 1000W inverter should you need to charge your laptop on the go! - For peace of mind on the road, there is a portable jump start pack in the accessories box in the rear storage compartment. WHY GAVAN? - This vehicle is perfect for a long weekend getaway or an extended trip around the South Island. It's big and it's comfortable. - It’s important to note that Gavan is not self contained, but he comes with 20L of fresh water to get you going for drinking and cooking - this also means no toilets to clean or empty! - When we travel we enjoy finding free camping spots that have toilet facilities or alternatively booking into non-powered sites at a campground to enjoy their hot showers. - This has been our family van which we're now excited to share with you, get out there and enjoy all the corners of our wonderful country we have to offer! WHERE AND WHEN - Located 15 minutes from Christchurch International Airport, we can get you on the road in no time! - Flexible times are of course available, flights don’t always arrive between 9am and 5pm! - Airport pick-up is available as an optional extra. - On the last day of hire the van needs to be cleaned with supplied equipment and returned with a full tank of Diesel. - The service fee covers a deep clean and restock of the amenities and gas bottle after your hire finishes. THE RULES - No smoking or vaping inside our van - No pets on board - I'll supply it clean and tidy, if you could please treat it and return it like it's your own that'd be great! WHO NAMED HIM? - Our 6 year old. Gavan comes fully geared with bedding, cooking & dining equipment - everything you need for your next South Island adventure, just turn up and hit the road!
