With ‘Daisy’ you will travel in luxury and comfort. German built, superior design and functionally. It’s the best set up we have ever had in our 20 years of motorhoming. This is our fifth motorhome! There’s a lounge at the rear and a 27’’ TV with a great sound bar for your evening relaxation. When you’re ready for bed, you simply press a switch and down comes a queen size bed with a super comfy memory foam mattress. All linen, pillows and duvets suppled. You will sleep well, plus the walk around bed makes it easy to get in and out and to make. 😊 There’s a hang up wardrobe and a small bedside unit on each side of the bed. There’s also a tall cupboard of shelves for your belongings. The kitchen area has 3 gas hobs and an oven, an extra drop down shelf for preparation and a large three way fridge. (It works on gas for freedom camping and driving and electricity for when you are plugged into power.) There’s a separate small freezer. There’s a Weber Q in the garage area for your outdoor cooking. The bathroom area has a separate shower, a handbasin and toilet and good cupboard space. Towels are provided. The dinette area is very comfortable - large table for dining or playing games or cards in your downtime. (There’s a photo of some of the games with the online photos.) Both front seats swivel around to face the dining area. You might enjoy sitting here to watch the second 22’’ TV. The bedroom area can be closed off if one of you wants to sleep. 😃 The van has LED ambient lighting throughout and there’s a Sirocco fan for hot evenings. There’s 205cm of headroom and an extra wide entrance door. There’s plenty of storage cupboards and shelves for your belongings and food. We supply all your plates, kitchen utensils, cutlery and saucepans etc. We will send you off with everything you could possibly need in that department. There’s a variety of herbs and spices, cooking oil, tea and coffee and local honey for you to enjoy. There’s 3 solar panels on the roof, so you can freedom camp for 2-3 days before you need to plug in to power or drive the vehicle to recharge. Daisy is certified for the new NZ freedom camping regulations. The 800 watt inverter can be used to charge phones, laptops, cameras and to plug in the wifi unit. So you will have free wifi when you are stationary - in most parts of the country. The chassis is on an upgraded more powerful 150 hp engine. (Most RVs this size are 130 HP.) It’s fuel efficient and easy to drive. Daisy has larger wheels than is usual and a VB SemiAir suspension system which gives a quieter and more comfortable ride than other vans. The outside storage unit/garage can be accessed from both sides. It contains your BBQ, outdoor table, chairs and coffee table/stools. The electrical leads and hoses are there. And there’s plenty of room for all your gear. For your enjoyment there’s a mini collection of NZ flora and fauna books, books on short walks, one on Maori place names and an assortment of map books.

We will meet you on your arrival at Queenstown Airport. Our home and the motorhome are 10 minutes from the airport. The handover process will take nearly an hour to explain the workings and answer your questions. We will give you all the assistance you need to get you on your way. And we will be available by phone or text if you have questions after you leave. There are 2 supermarkets 10 minutes away to stock up on your food supplies. You might like to preorder online. New World at Remarkables Park is best. Give them my NZ phone number when you place your order. I will give it to you when we message each other. We can collect your order on our way to collect you from the airport. Very easy for us to do. 🤣

Hiring rules

  • No pets
  • 2 adults only
  • Minimum age is 25 years
  • Valid full licence to be shown on arrival
  • No smoking in the motorhome
  • Driving on gravel roads not allowed
  • No Crown Range unless experienced motorhome driver
  • RUC's (Road User Charges) will be charged 0.9c per kilometre
  • Van is to be returned with a full tank of diesel or a fee of $125.00 will be charged
  • Van is to be returned with a full gas bottle (receipt required at drop off) or a $75.00 fee will be charged.
  • Vab must be returned clean and tidy Excess cleaning will be charged at $250.00
  • Hirer must be 30 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Strict

  • Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    We had an amazing experience hiring this campervan The owner was fantastic to deal with-friendly, responsive, and made everything super easy from start to finish. The campervan itself was spotless, well-maintained and very comfortable, with everything we needed for our trip. It drove smoothly and was clearly cared for. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a hassle-free and enjoyable camper-hire!

    We hired this excellent motorhome called Daisy from Gwenda, who kept us updated before our arrival with the best places to visit in beautiful New Zealand. We were kindly collected from Queenstown airport and were grateful for Gwenda spending a considerable time explaining the workings of the motorhome. There was an instruction manual provided too along with many maps, books and board games to keep us occupied. Daisy was super clean and very well equipped, she had a very comfortable double bed, an excellent shower, heating and ample supplies for long off grid stays. Gwenda had also kindly provided a new gas barbeque and internet modem for our use as well as outdoor seating. We found that Daisy could easily manage without electric hookup during our two week stay, the extensive rooftop solar panels keeping us fully charged. On our trip we visited many places including Kaikora, Christchurch, Mount Cook, Omaru, Tekapo and Cromwell. Daisy was very economical and was a pleasure to drive over the 2000 kms we travelled. I would have no hesitation in recommending Gwenda and Daisy for a premium motorhoming holiday and only wish we had stayed longer. Thank you, Mark and Kim

    Our time in Gwenda and Dotties motor home (Daisy) was amazing. We were able to see plenty of the South Island, including Milford Sound and up to Wanaka. We loved the van. So so comfy. Warm on the cold night and spectacularly comfortable. It was a beautiful home on wheels. And Gwenda and Dottie were so hospitable, friendly and helpful. Thanks so much for sharing Daisy and for helping us navigate this beautiful country. We will be back. Rod & Anna

    We had a great time. Daisy is fantastic, very comfy bed, great shower, easy to drive. Everything you need for a fun holiday. Gwen was happy to help with anything, picked us up from the airport, helped us get our pre ordered groceries, etc. We will be back
