Born in the quiet town of Darfield, nestled between farmland and rolling foothills, he had spent his early years watching the tractors roll by and listening to the distant hum of the Southern Alps. But Phillip had always longed for the open road, and now, he lived in Christchurch, ready to embrace every journey. Compact yet mighty, Phillip could comfortably house two explorers, though he had squeezed in a third on many occasions—after all, what’s a road trip without a bit of closeness? His prized feature was his ability to make his own hot water, ensuring that no matter where he ventured, his travelers could enjoy a warm shower after a long day of exploring. Phillip had seen it all—the turquoise glow of Lake Tekapo, where the sky stretched infinitely above the rugged peaks, the golden tussocks of Lindis Pass, whispering secrets of the land’s ancient past. Cancellations

Strict

  • Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Damon was amazing!! He was always quick to respond and incredibly helpful whenever we had questions. The van, Phillip, held up perfectly throughout our trip and made everything so easy. We would absolutely recommend renting from Damon and would happily do it again.

    Such a great van! Heaps of space and drives really well! Shower is great and has hot water. Damon is really responsive and will help you with anything you need. Would definitely book this van again if i ever come back!

    Eggs Bacon Rocket We drove Phillip around the South Island for 3 weeks with no problems. The van was reliable, spacious and had everything you need. The shower is such an added bonus, especially when free camping. We packed a tarp which was helpful when it was raining and we were cooking as there is no awning. Damon was lovely to deal with and was always available to answer any questions. Would recommend!

    We had a great time in the south island, and Philip was a reliable companion! Having access to a bathroom when it was cold or rainy outside was wonderful, and the included blanket was plenty warm. It was nice to have a place to cook. The van never gave us any problems, and was good on gas mileage. It struggled up hills a little, but I got acquainted with the O/D off button or shifted into 2nd gear and then it wasn't a problem. Great van, great communication from Damon, and a wonderful experience overall! 10/10

    Had an awesome time exploring in Philip! Damons van was super roomy, really comfy, and had everything we needed. Easy to drive, well set up, and perfect for a few days of adventure. Highly recommend!
