Hiring rules

• Please confirm that all drivers are over the age of 21 and have held a full license for at least two years.
• Soft luggage and bedding only to be stored inside. If collecting from our house we can store bulky bags or offer soft bags to use. No bikes or surfboards to be put inside,
• No smoking or vaping inside or a deodorisation fee of $350.00 may be deducted from the bond on return.
• RUC Charges $0.00.9 per 1km payable by Cash or Campify will deduct on completion of the hire,
• Campervan to be returned with full tank of diesel, We will cover gas bottle.
• Toilet to be cleaned and emptied, Grey water/waste water tank emptied.
• No festivals or events without prior consultation.
• Awning must be packed away in winds over 10knots .
• Emergency If any engine lights come on the dashboard pull over immediately. If a accident occurs get of the road stay safe call us or Campify on 0800 779 779.
• Camper must be returned cleaned or risk a cleaning fee.
• Hirer must be over 21 years old

  Had a great time travelling in the Summer Rider, very spacious inside. Made our trip around New Zealand very comfortable. The owners were very easy to deal with and responsive to all our questions. Would rent again.

  We had a fantastic holiday with Kelly's van. It was smooth to drive, clean, and with the king-bed option in the back very comfortable to sleep in. Allowed us to travel in comfort all across the north island, and provided warm showers and meals in even the most remote free-camping sites. Kelly and Greig were also extremely helpful and welcoming, taking time out of their day to troubleshoot an issue we were having and even dropping us to our hotel upon returning the van. Highly recommended!

  Absolutely amazing experience with the Summer Rider camp van! We had the van for 8 nights and covered 1600km around the North Island. It was perfectly set up for freedom camping, offering us the flexibility to stay in some incredible spots with breathtaking views. The van was super easy to drive, and its compact size made it a breeze to park, especially when navigating some of the more remote countryside roads. The smoothness and agility of the drive really added to the enjoyment of our trip. Living in the van was a dream. We had more than enough power for the entire week thanks to the solar setup, and we were able to keep all of our devices plugged in without worry. The setup was well thought out, and we felt completely comfortable throughout our stay. The bedding option was definitely worth itclean, fresh, and comfortable. The van was stocked with everything we needed, from tea and coffee to plastic bags and Tupperware. The cleaning equipment provided was also excellent, keeping everything spotless, and we really appreciated the thoughtful details like the BBQ wipes and salon-grade shampoo for the shower. Kelly and her husband were fantastic hosts. Their communication was seamless, and they were extremely accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect trip. This was our first time using this platform in NZ (having used similar services globally), and it couldnt have gone more smoothly. We would absolutely rent from Kelly and her husband again and cant wait to explore more of the country with the Summer Rider. Highly recommend! Leon & Mel

  I was off-grid and the van had all things I needed like hot shower, cold fridge and gas cooking. Totally comfortable, easy to drive. Lots of storage, lots of head room. Appreciated the goodies basket. I'd hire again from this owner.
