We had the most amazing time road tripping around New Zealand in this van! It truly felt like our little home on wheels. Super well equipped with everything we needed, easy to drive, and the perfect size for exploring both towns and more remote spots. The setup is really well thought out, practical, and cute at the same time. It made van life feel easy, even as first-timers. Communication was smooth from start to finish, with a clear handover and great tips before we left. Matt and Courtenay were friendly and responsive, making the whole experience stress-free. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better way to discover the country. Would 100% recommend for anyone wanting an unforgettable NZ road trip experience!

Matt and Courtney were super responsive from the start of the booking to the end, handover was thorough - but we were quite disappointed that we were given the van with a chip in the windscreen (especially as we were paying a premium over the Christmas period), as mentioned by a previous review the van really struggles on an incline which made our journey much longer, the brakes have a significant lag, causing a delay when braking. The van gets affected by wind when driving. The van interior was very homely and lovely, we definitly recommend the topper and appreciated the complimentary coffee, unfortunately the van did have a lingering smell of body odour though. Overall if you are an experienced driver and you want a cosy, instagrammable van, this one is for you! But any first timers or inexperienced drivers I wouldnt recommend.

Had a lovely month in Arlo doing a loop of the South Island. We went in April/May and so we were a little nervous about it being too cold, but the temperature in Arlo was perfect in the evenings and mornings :) Communication and checklist before we set off and once we returned was great: Courtney was a pleasure to deal with. Thanks for a lovely holiday!

We couldnt have asked for a better lil house! Arlo is the perfect tiny house you would definitely need for your holidays. Great set up, comfy, cute and reliable. Matt & Courtenay are very helpful. Were very happy and we didnt want to finish the roadtrip at all. Highly recommended

Arlo served my girlfriend and I well on our 2-week journey around the South Island. Although she can sometimes struggle up an incline, we had absolutely no issues/breakdowns. As a rookie to van life, some extra things to know about Arlo that werent super clear to us prior, that may helpful for you to know: theres no where to plug in the van (so forget about powered sites. Wouldnt have been necessary either way because the solar power was more than enough for what we needed), the fridge is relatively small (could pack ~3 days worth in there), and I wouldnt plan on using the toilet within much, if at all (especially during the night), but we didnt come across any campsite that didnt at least have a drop toilet anyway. Sleeping in Arlo was cosy and warm (definitely go for the mattress topper + recommend bringing 1-2 sets of fairy lights to add to coziness). Matt & Courtnay were also very responsive, clear in the handover & left some great touches/provisions in Arlo for our journey (thank you!). Overall, the experience was amazing, getting a first touch with van life, and immersing ourselves in the beauty of the South Island with Arlo sustaining us with everything we needed.

Awesome van to travel around the South Island. We rented Gillie for 16 nights and everything was perfect. Easy to drive and comfortable to sit in the back once parked up. Also super easy to convert to the bed set up. Matt was always available to answer any questions and gave us a detailed run-through before we left. Great value for money and would have no problem recommending Gillie!

Had an unbelievable time travelling in Arlo! Drives like dream, the space Matt has designed inside the van is comfortable and welcoming, all the cabinet and storage space is well thought out and finished with precision. I would recommend this reliable set of wheels to anyone who wants to see the beauty of NZ in a compact but comfortable van

This little beauty was so incredibly perfect for our little 5 day trip! Matt has done a wonderful job with the fit out, hes super easy going and gave us all the information we needed to make this our little home away from home. It even had a little plant 10/10 will rent again

We had an amazing trip in Arlo, away for 2 weeks around the South Island covering about 2000kms with flying colours! The van is super well equipped and very thoughtfully set up - we found it great for cooking and very easy to put the bed up/down. Matt was great to deal with and made everything easy. We would definitely look to get Arlo for any future trips!
