We rented a van for almost a week with apricot. Pretty disappointed with the van to be honest. Price wise I guess it was cheaper than the big companies like Jucy, indie, mighty or Maui, but what you get is very basic here. No issue what so ever with the staff, easy drop off from the airport with the rental car company next to it. Here is my honest review, Sleeping: I paid extra for linen and was provided with a simple sheet and blanket. Glad I brought over light sleeping bag so I wasnt sleeping just under the blanket or bare bun on the mattress. Also youre asked to return it cleaned. Very convenient to find a laundromat on the way back and waist few hours Mattress is hard like a stone, again glad I brought air mattress. Cooking: Dont expect to cook something, first no spare gas canister were provided so I had to buy a pack of 4 at bunings where I needed barely one. No pan or pot was provided, just a little hiking set with foldable cutlery just good enough to boil water for dry food. Also I paid for a chilly bin (eski, or cooled storage), useless as it didnt come with frozen pack. I thought It would have been an electric cooled one like in the van we hired on the South Island. Dont dream to drink a cold one after driving. Also bring a tea towel dishwashing liquid, its not provided. Miscellaneous: Dont expect to charge your phone, no battery or even an USB socket to charge your phone or camera. Lights were switching off after 5 minutes, as its powered off the van, cant read a book at night. Setup is all brand new but made in a very cheap way. Cupboard is not latching, so anytime you pair right everything stored inside is flying in the van. They didnt even bother replacing the floor with a nice mat. The boot door was also fitted with a wood board, felt very cheap. Also if you want to use the toilet (which I didnt) you need to buy the chemical. Last one, you should return the van clean, but no broom is even provided. Basically its good to drive and take a nap, dont expect great camping experience. Also it drives well but its bouncing around like a boat on a rough see and a bit thirsty at least the gas is cheap in NZ Pictures attached is what I got Overall not big issues but a lot of improvements need to be made for a better experience. Renting a camper van its not the same as renting a car for the price you expect to drop your bag and go. We had a way better experience with Camplify renting a smaller van directly with the owner.

Very decent van. The bed was comfy, storage unit underneath is a bit hard to access. Fridge was good size. We had a great time.

The van is practically brand new. Exceptionally clean and low mileage. Easy to drive, easy to park, easy to tuck in for the night. The hardest part is cleaning the toilet & I never was able to figure out how to clear the grey water. I would recommend either a more thorough explanation at pick up or a few YouTube links to help. (Its difficult to find on your own with limited WiFi.) I also added some non-stick pads to help in the cupboard (prevents everything from sliding around), ice chest, and a knife with cutting board. Otherwise, the van and service was amazingly good for the price and quality. They even have a shuttle to take you to the international airport.
