What happens if I damage the van? E.g. awnings, exterior panel damage, interior damage
Be transparent and call the van owner as soon as possible. The owner will have the best advice about their van and it's important to work together.
Call the Camplify team on 0800 779 779 to update us on the incident and the details of your conversation with the van owner. Together we can assist you with the next steps and help you to coordinate any repairs if needed
Take photos of the damage
Once communicated and documented, enjoy the rest of your trip!
What to do if I am involved in an accident?
Make sure your entire party is safe
Call emergency services immediately on 111 and request either Police, Fire Brigade or Ambulance.
If emergency services are called and the RV needs to be towed, in many cases a tow company will often be organised by emergency services
Call the owner and explain what has happened. The owner will have advice about what should happen next for their RV, they may wish for it to be towed back to their location for repairs or other alternatives. Always engage the owner on decisions involving their van
Take down the details of any third party involved, name, phone number, address, drivers licence details, registration of the car, the year, make & model
Note the time, date and street location of the accident
Call Camplify on 0800 779 779 and let us know what has occurred and we can assist in helping you work through the next steps.
What does AA roadside assistance cover and what should I do if I have a breakdown?
Every hire through Camplify includes free AA roadside assistance. If any of the following incidents occur, our team at AA will jump into action to assist you in safely getting back on the road again:
Changing flat batteries
Tyres requiring repair or changing (never attempt to change a tyre yourself)
Fixing a small engine problem
Towing required due to a van fault
What is the process for contacting the AA with Camplfy?
Call the AA priority line on 0800 734 543, ensuring you have the vehicle registration number and location ready
Once you have called AA and a Patrolman has been dispatched, call Camplify and advise of your situation 0800 779 779
AA will send out a patrolman to assess your breakdown problem and hopefully resolve it for you there & then. If it involves more work they will organise a tow usually to the nearest repair centre
Call the Van owner before any decisions are made about where the vehicle will be towed to if required. Always consult the van owner and work together on the solution. Dependant on the repair job and the length of time it could take, they may wish for their RV to be repaired closer to home by their nominated mechanic
