Owner of the Year 2025

Our top honour for the owner defining excellence through business growth, leadership, and professional service.

Kiwi is a spacious 6-berth motorhome, perfect for couples who want extra room to relax and not feel cramped. Also great for for families or groups of friends, it's an ideal choice for people seeking comfort and flexibility on the road. She is fully certified and self-contained (meaning you can freedom camp). Kiwi comes with all necessary items for a comfortable journey, including cuddly bed linen, towels, outdoor furniture, cookware, and most importantly huge windows for New Zealand's incredible scenery. Kiwi is conveniently located less 800m from Queenstown International Airport. Many hirers walk to our location but if you need picking up from the airport please let us know and we'll do our best to make it happen. Additionally, we also offer flexible pick-up and drop-off times for your convenience. Why you'll love hiring Kiwi: - We cover the Road User Charges. Unlike most diesel vehicles in NZ, our rental includes Road User Charges (RUCs). This is a government fee for using diesel on public roads. Most travellers don’t realise this fee is not included in other motorhome hires, but we’ve got you covered. No extra costs, no surprises! - LPG is also included with your hire so you can cook and shower without worrying about topping up the gas bottle. - There are two comfortable dining and lounge spaces. - Kiwi has two dining/lounge areas, a fixed queen bed situated above the driver's cabin, a convertible queen bed in the rear, and a convertible double bed in the middle seating area, all with cuddly sheets, pillows and duvets. - The kitchen has 3 gas hobs and 1 electric hob (for use when plugged into power at campsites). - There's a generous 136L fridge, microwave, and ample bench top space. - Bathroom with Separate Shower & Toilet. (No wet toilet seats or awkward setups.) - There is french press/coffee plunger and we can provide an upgrade option for off-grid espresso coffee. - For evening entertainment, Kiwi has a TV (which will take your DVD's or USB with movies pre loaded), and we provide games and cards. - Kiwi has a diesel powered heater (she's toasty even if it's -5 outside on an alpine adventure). - There's a built-in, easy to use awning. - We include a picnic rug, camp chairs and an outdoor table. - Child seats are available on request at an additional charge (subject to availability). - Kiwi can be driven with a regular car licence and has automatic transmission with a reverse camera. As long-time locals to Queenstown and keen campers, we have extensive knowledge of the South Island. Having worked in the tourism sector for a long time, you can make use of our knowledge to make sure your adventure is smooth. We also run a tourist activity booking site where you can find all of the top activities listed in one place. We highly recommend booking in advance during the busy summer period because many activities will get booked out. You can find our booking site here: https://queenstowncampervans.experienceoz.com.au/en/south-island

Additional information

- If you like, for $55.00 you can add on a portable Picopresso espresso machine (does not need electricity), local pre-ground beans and milk frother. To book this option, simply select the Hamper add-on at check out or let us know at least 7 days in advance and we'll arrange it for you (subject to availability). We highly recommend as there is not a lot of good cafe options in some of the regions. - When requesting your booking, please provide us with your preferred pickup and drop-off times. - Linen is included so please advise how many guests and ages of all travelers within your initial booking request. We provide bath towels but you will need to bring beach towels if required. - Please allow up to 60 minutes for Kiwi to be handed over to you - we like to be thorough so you can feel comfortable on the road. - There are plenty of shelves and cupboards to put all your items away. However there is no storage space in the campervan large enough to fit a suitcase so we are happy to store your suitcases in our garage. Using packing cells in your suitcase is a great option so you can easily transfer them into the campervan from your suitcase. - In winter months Kiwi is only available for up to 4 people using 2 beds. - Please note, Camplify advertises the from price of a daily hire. The "from" price is the low season price in May and June. You will also find the min days varies depending on seasonality. To check the price, just pop in your travel dates and insurance type. If in doubt, just contact us by sending through a booking request. - Learn a bit more by searching @Queenstowncampervans on Instagram.

10/10 experience! Miss Kiwi was super an amazing van! It was my first time using Camlify and everything went better than I couldve imagined. Matt and Tamie were great communicators, very helpful and fast at responding. Matt walked us through all the important know-hows of the van before taking us, and provided us with everything we needed including towels, linen, cutlery etc. The van was really clean, well maintained, and easy to drive + live in. We had so much space for those rainy days stuck inside, and the heating kept us nice and warm on snowy nights. We will definitely go with Matt and Tammie when we come to NZ again!

Tamie and Matt were incredible from the moment we booked until we handed the keys back. When we picked up the van we were given such a great run through of how to use the van we felt so confident to start our road trip. The camper was clean and it has everything you need to travel around. We had a super fun week exploring the South island and would recommend Queenstown Campervans to all our friends back home in Aus. Thank you Tamie and Matt for the wonderful memories you helped create

Really good fun. We live in the South Island and this was a really great way of seeing places we had been to already in a different way. We did a loop of lower South Island over a week long trip and enjoyed the freedom to take our time. We stayed in freedom camping spots and paid camp grounds etc. Kiwi is a great vehicle and is very easy to drive despite its size and very roomy on the inside with everything you need. :)

Hey there adventurers, I'm Tamie, I work in tourism as an Experience Development Manager and I'm a Queenstown local. Any questions about the region and what to do or where to go, I've got you! My favourite thing about campervan life is waking up to beautiful views with a good coffee, and having the flexibility to stay or move on whenever you choose! I'm the dreamer behind Milford, Renee, Kiwi and now Mercules, but it takes two to keep the wheels spinning smoothly. Matt knows his stuff when it comes to travel. He is a long time local who has a knack for quality and functionality. Matt ensures that the campers are not only road-ready but also primed for unforgettable adventures! So pack your bags, grab your camera, pick up the keys and buckle up to make some memories! Matt and Tamie
