The perfect home for touring the North Island ... accommodation and transport! Marvin is in great condition, super comfortable beds, has panoramic windows in the living area, and has a great kitchen space and bathroom/toilette. 7 night minimum. Linen and towels and basic kitchen supplies all included. Lovely queen bed over the driving cab, measuring 2100 x 1600, opening windows at each end of bed (with insect screens) and roof vent plus privacy curtains. A second double bed at the rear can be made up if you prefer. Seat belted for 4, so can drive and sleep 4, but really comfortable for 2 people :) Fitted fly screens including on the door, and curtains for privacy. USB charging port and one plug that works 'off-grid'. Enough to charge telephones and a laptop. All runs on solar power (incl. fridge) with gas for cooker and hot water. (Not the heater or microwave, they work only when plugged into 240V power source at campground). Driving: 2 super comfy seats in the cabin, powerful engine, and air conditioning let you travel in style. Marvin is manual - you need to have experience driving a manual. Please let me know if you need a van with automatic transmission, I can refer you :) Living: Great U-shaped dining area with panoramic windows to take in the gorgeous NZ views. Also, Marvin has an electric heater so if you explore NZ even in the coldest winter you'll be warm at night. (Heater and microwave work when van is plugged in at a campground). Kitchen: 3 Burner Gas Hob, and fully kitted out with everything you need and plenty of storage for your food. Storage: There are lots of storage compartments that is accessible from the inside and the outside. Outdoor: Outdoor table and two chairs, which are wonderful under the easy to roll out awning. Bike rack for 2 bikes (no Ebikes can fit on this rack, and no bikes included). All you need to bring are your clothes and some groceries and you are ready for your next adventure. Pickup & Drop Off on Waiheke Island for free, or anywhere in Auckland and/or the Airport included for a $250 fee. Quick Drop Off Option: No time when you are dropping off? We will clean the van including toilet, emptying the grey water & cassette and all cleaning for you for an extra cost.

  • Make sure the side door steps are folded away before leaving

  • Hirers must download a weather app and watch for weather events
  • RV must return cleaned or risk a cleaning fee
  • EMERGENCY If any warning lights come on the dashboard, pull over immediately. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, call emergency services on 111 if required. Or call Camplify on +643 668 1211 and choose 4 for roadside assistance. Then call us.
  • DAMAGE If damage happens, you must report it immediately who, what, where and when will be required.

  • FUEL Return full of DIESEL All hires include a full tank upon departure.
  • CLEANING Clean the equipment and Van. Excessive cleaning will incur a charge.

  • Road User Charges (RUC)
  • Road User Charges only apply to diesel vehicles. They are charged posthire, on all kilometres driven, at a rate of $9.00 per 100 kilometres ($0.09 per kilometre). This distance is calculated using the change in odometer value between pickup and dropoff. These values are recorded on the signed vehicle pickup and dropoff forms, filled in with the owner. RUC Charges $9.00 per 100km Payable by Cash or Camplify Will deduct on completion of the hire.

Cancellations

Strict

  • Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.
