It is fully equipped with quality items and ready for you to have an amazing trip. We can meet you at your home, the airport or other mutually agreed place i.e. your hotel DROP OFF AND PICKUP FEES ARE NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON YOUR LOCATION AND LENGTH OF HIRE DRIVING It will surprise you how powerful and simple to drive this vehicle really is on a car license - it can switch from auto to manual! Driving this on the open road or around town is easy and rewarding. ACCOMMODATION - 3 BERTH - LOUNGE/DINING - SO MANY OPTIONS TO CHOOSE This beautiful Mercedes motorhome has a large lounge at the rear to enjoy the views and a removable/adjustable table for dining and this area converts to a massive comfortable SUPER KING bed or two narrow single beds easily at the end of the day. At the front of the vehicle there is another seating area and by turning the front seats around (they swivel) you have even more seating and with the removable and adjustable table you can chose to enjoy a drink or meal, watch a DVD or just chill. This area converts to a smaller bed suitable for a child or adult less than 170cms. The kitchen has a cooker and grill with extractor fan, microwave, fridge with ice box, sink with drainer. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and wash hand basin. SAFETY Child car seats on request. 3 full seat belts, ABS, traction control, airbags, smoke alarm, fire extinguisher and fire blanket. And also a safe for your peace of mind. FACILITIES It is fully self-contained so you can FREEDOM CAMP which saves campground charges AND you can park right next to amazing beaches, mountains and lakesides etc. There is solar power, 70L water and a good toilet so you can go 3-4 days independently without a worry. Included is all the equipment you need and even a selection of family games so all you need to do is unpack and enjoy exploring. Enjoy the benefits of skylights, LED lighting, great heating and cooling for your comfort. There is also an easy to use bike rack for 2 bikes. ELECTRONICS For your convenience the vehicle is fitted with a stereo radio and CD player with Bluetooth connectivity so you can connect devices for hands free calls and music. It also has a TV and DVD player, but you will be having too much fun in NZ's great outdoors to use those! Additional information

KM's USE OF VEHICLE - As standard there is a maximum of 200kms per day free of charge, additional kms are charged at 0.50c per km (no one has exceeded this in 2 yrs). ROAD USER CHARGE (RUC) - A New Zealand standard charge on all diesel vehicles is RUC which is charged by the Transport agency, a government tax, that is applied to diesel vehicles. This is charged post-hire at a rate of $9.00 per 100 kms ($0.09 per kilometre). OPTIONAL OUTDOOR PACK This has everything you need to enjoy New Zealand's great outdoors but in addition to the folding table and chairs that are included as standard there is also an additional ground covering for the awning area, chairs, sofa, air loungers, armchair, lighting for alfresco dining, beach toys, outdoor games, towels, sun shade, cushions and more. $20.00 per day (maximum charge applies) OPTIONAL WATER CRAFT * An amazing inflatable 2 person kayak. * An inflatable stand up paddle board. Life jackets and a dry bag available. $20.00 per item per day (maximum charge applies). The average hire price elsewhere in NZ is $80.00 per day for each of these items. OPTIONAL MEAL PACK We are also offering the option of a 'recipe box' or 'meal bag' style meal option so you don't have to think about the next meal or prepare the ingredients and you won't be buying a 2kg bag of rice when you just want 1 or 2 cups. Cancellations

Strict

Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

The van is nice to drive for an older vehicle, stereo is dated and sound is terrible didnt worry us but if you like to listen to music or news when you travel! Fridge, cooktop and hot water all worked well, have to keep the water tank toped up as no gauge to check levels (ran out twice). We travelled every day so off grid camping was not a problem, no flyscreens apart from roof vents, if you want to keep the sandflies out you have to close everything up with no other fan to cool you down when it's hot! We left bed made and only used small camping table for daily use. Refilling gas bottle was a problem finding a refilling depot for smaller bottles and dump stations are limited unless you stay at a van park on your last night! We did have one issue with the van but was rectified by the owner during our trip.

We had a great holiday in Jill's van being our first ever visit to New Zealand. Jill was super friendly & communicative & contacted us a couple of days into our trip to check & make sure all was well. No issues whatsoever with the van- straightforward to drive & with on board detailed manuals everything was easy to follow if we needed to check up on anything. We toured both North & South Islands, using the ferry which was again straightforward. In all we had a fantastic time in Fantastic Fantail & would recommend Jill's van to anyone wishing to see this amazing country. Thanks Jill!

We had a lovely time in Jills Fantastic Fantail! It was clean, well-equipped and in good condition. There were some (very) minor damages but nothing that affected our holiday in a bad way, and we're sure Jill will fix those before a next hire. Jill was very friendly and really wanted to make our trip perfect. This did cause her to be a bit frantic in her messages, but don't let that scare you - it's all for your benefit! Would rent again! PS: The van is - according to the ferry company - 6.8 meters instead of the advertised 6, so keep that in mind when booking ferry tickets.
