*Optional Add-On EcoFlow River 2 Portable Power Station ($60.00 per trip) The EcoFlow River 2 is a compact, high-quality power station perfect for charging cameras, and laptops when away from powered sites — or for those needing reliable power for a CPAP machine overnight. (Not suitable for high-power appliances such as kettles, toasters, or hairdryers.)

Hiring rules

• No offroad driving / No beach driving / No Extended Gravel Roads / No Ski field access roads. There is no insurance coverage in these areas.
• Driving on unsealed roads more than 2 kilometers must be preapproved in writing (in Camplify Messages) before the trip begins.
• Cannot be driven on Skipper's Canyon Rd and Dansey's Pass.
• No smoking or Vaping inside.
• No Pets.
• No Festivals.
• No gutting of fish inside the vehicle.
• All Hirers must be 25+ years old and hold a full drivers license with no restrictions.
• Must be returned clean with an empty toilet cassette and empty waste water tank or you’ll risk a cleaning fee.
• Any damage must be reported immediately – who, what, where and when will be required.
• Pull over immediately if any engine lights come on. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe and call Camplify on 03 668 1211 – they will advise on how to contact roadside assistance. Then call me!
• Fuel must be returned full of diesel. All hires depart with a full tank.
• Gas bottle to be returned full – refill from petrol stations and keep the receipt.
• Payment of a deposit is required within 72hrs of your booking being approved, otherwise I may cancel it.
• Diesel Vehicle RUC Charges are additional to the daily hire rate and charged at 0.09c per km ($9.00 per 100km). The cost is calculated on return and payable by cash or via the camplify.

  We can wholeheartedly recommend Starsie to anyone looking for a modern, reliable motorhome for exploring the country. The owners, Tyna and Seb, are incredibly kind, easy to communicate with, and quick to answer any questions. We rented Starsie for a three-week round trip around the South Island, and it was a fantastic experience. The motorhome had everything we neededhot shower, well-equipped kitchen, and plenty of comfortable space for three adults and a baby. Were very happy with our choice and would definitely rent Starsie again for our next adventure.
