You can happily sleep 2 adults in the crows nest extended rooftop tent. We also supply an extra room that zips on to make either another sleeping room or just a spot to get changed and store gear. Great for festivals and longer camp outs. Check out how to use this at Feldon shelter website. Please leave shoes and pets outside of the roof tent. Plan your trip and camp spots ahead of your journey for maximum enjoyment. We don't yet have a fridge hooked up but our chilli bin (esky, cooler box) has got yah covered, wack in a bag of ice from any petrol station and your away! We have set up with internal water proof boxes so as the ice melts your food will stay dry and cold. She's well insulated so a bag of ice should last from 2-4 days weather depending. Pet Friends are welcome on the mission how ever please do not take them into the rooftop tent. They can either sleep in the extra room provided, on a seat of the truck or outside.

Hiring rules

• No smoking in Big Bertha or the roof top tents.
• If your pet is likely to chew anything in the vehicle please consider not bringing them.
• RUCs Road User Charges (RUCs) will be charged at the rate of $0.09 per km. The total RUCs will be calculated on the distance travelled during the hire period and will be charged to the hirer on completion of the hire.
• Return Bertha clean and tidy please.
• Damage If damage happens, you must report it immediately who, what, where and when will be required
• Return full of DIESEL All hires include a full tank upon departure. If not returned full there will be a refuelling fee.
• Have fun

• Hirer must be 24 years of age or older.

  We had a great time exploring the South Island in Big Bertha. The car had a great setup with everything we needed for our trip. Gareth had great communication and worked out pickups/drop offs around our flights and schedule. Would 10/10 recommend!
