Important Tips for a Smooth Trip with Benny Reversing Quirk: When engaging the reverse gear, Benny sometimes needs an extra push of the clutch. A little extra love goes a long way! Sink and Water System: The hose of the tap might get stuck occasionally; just give it a gentle pull. This clever system allows water use both inside and outside Benny. Chemical Toilet: While New Zealand is abundant with public toilets, feel free to use the chemical toilet. Please return it cleaned and replace the fluid if you do. Power and Appliances: Benny needs to drive to charge his battery. The lights, water pump, and fridge can run off the car battery for up to 3 days without driving. An inverter is available for low voltage items like phone chargers. When connected to mains power, you can use the kettle, and other appliances with a standard NZ plug. Setting Up Camp: open the gas bottle, plug in power (if you are on a powered site), kick back and relax. Don't forget to close the gas bottle and unplug and tidy away the power cord before driving off into the sunset. Maintenance: Before hitting the road, check the waste water tank, fresh water levels, oil, tyre pressure, and wiper fluid. Regular checks are recommended for longer trips. Weather Considerations: New Zealand's weather can be unpredictable. Secure outdoor items in adverse conditions. If you have the surfboard, store it safely as advised. Remember to be sun-smart due to the higher UV exposure in NZ. Safety and Emergencies: In case of any dashboard warning lights, stop immediately and contact me. Follow Camplify's procedures for accidents or roadside assistance, and always get in touch with me. A fire blanket, extinguisher, and first aid kit are available in Benny for your safety. Hiring rules

• No smoking inside Benny – please keep it fresh.
• Pets – ask in the Camplify chat if you want to bring your pet.
• Road use – no beaches, offroading, or 4WD gravel roads.
• Check my health – keep an eye on tyre pressure, oil, and coolant.
• Dashboard lights or strange sounds – stop and call Regina.
• If the oil light comes on, stop immediately and top up oil (stored in the back storage compartment).
• Questions – if you are unsure, ask Regina anytime.
• Festivals – must be approved through Camplify chat.
• Awning – pack it away if heavy rain or strong winds are coming.
• Cleaning – return the vehicle as clean as you got it to avoid fees.
• Toilet – if used, must be cleaned before return, or a fee will be charged.
• Damage – report immediately so I can organise to fix it for you or the next hire (depending on what damage)
• Accidents – stop right away. If an accident happens, pull over safely, call Camplify (0800 779 779) for roadside help, then call Regina.
• Gas – turn off when driving. Return the bottle full.
• Deposit – must be paid within 48 hours of booking approval, or the booking may be cancelled.
• Fuel – return with a full tank of unleaded.
• Respect and Care: Treat Benny with kindness and care. If you look after him, he’ll look after you. Return him in the same condition you received him, and you’ll leave with great memories.

  The trip with Benny was very pleasant and comfortable! It has everything you need for a road trip for two, plenty of space, storage, and equipment to feel right at home. Easy to drive, Benny is still in great shape! Contact with Regina was very easy and friendly; we highly recommend Benny and thank Regina for the wonderful time we had :)

  We've had the honour of borrowing Benny for 5 weeks and boy did we have the best time. Benny is such a reliable and lovely camper, he has charm and a cosy vibe. And don't even worry about the reversing quirk, it's literally not a problem and youllget to know Benny real fast! Regina made our proces of renting SO easy. We didn't have to worry while away, since we knew that Regina had our backs of anything would happen. She's so sweet and down to earth. So just book Benny for your next adventure in New Zealand!

  Benny was perfect for our 10 day trip around the South Island of New Zealand. Regina has equipped the van with everything you need to be on the road while feeling comfortable. We were happy to have a spacious interior to enjoy the cooler evenings but mostly used the outdoor chairs and table to make the most of the great outdoor views. Regina was great in accomodating our needs for pick up and drop off at the airport in Christchurch which made organising the trip really easy. We had a great time overall in NZ and would highly recommend hiring Benny is you are considering a van trip around the South Island !

  We had a great time with Benny. It got us through thick and thin up the Wild West coast and back. We had everything we needed and more. It was super cosy with extra blankets from Regina. A coffee maker that saw a lot of use and great amenities to help us cook well in the evening. Communication was great, and Regina was super flexible with pick up and drop offs. We had a great time and would highly recommend Benny and Regina to anyone looking for a trusty camper to see them through the winding roads of NZ. Milly and Stefano

  We had an amazing time while travelling New-Zeland with Benny. The van was equipped with everything we needed, thanks to Regina. Benny was very spacious, which made it a comfortable stay. We had no troubles at all and the contact with Regina was super easy and quick. Would highly recommend renting Benny!
