Hiring rules

• Please confirm that all drivers are over the ages of 21 and have held a full drivers licence for at least two years.
• 5 Day Minimum Hire on all Motorhomes, 7day minimum hire over Christmas & New Year
• 3: Soft Luggage and Bedding Only to be stored inside. If collecting from our place we can store bulky bags of offer soft bags to use. No Bikes or Surfboards not in soft bags Inside
• No smoking or vaping Inside or under the motorhome awning or a deodorisation fee of $350.00 may be deducted from the bond on return.
• RUC Charges $9.00 per 100km. Payable by Cash or Camplify Will deduct on completion of the hire.
• Motorhome to be returned with full tank of diesel We will cover the LPG Gas Bottle.
• Toilet to be cleaned and emptied. ($100.00 surcharge applies if the toilet is returned dirty), grey water//waste water tank emptied
• No extended driving on gravel if there is a sealed option as this may damage the van. No driving on noncouncilapproved gravel roads, ski field access roads or prohibited NZTAlisted roads. If you drive on a gravel road, you must travel under 60km/h. After driving on gravel, you will need to take to a selfwash station and wash thoroughly before returning, or a $200.00 Cleaning fee will apply. This includes UNDER the chassis areas. Any damage caused by stone chips from gravel will be charged. Make sure there is enough clearance for the campervan. If in doubt, DO NOT go. MANY gravel roads will have overhanging trees or very narrow oneway passes that will not fit the camper.
• No festivals or events without prior consultation
• Awning MUST be packed away in any winds over 10 knots. You can use an app like windy or predict wind to check the forecast. Be careful leaving this out overnight at a beach or high wind areas.
• Emergency If any engine lights come on the dashboard, pull over immediately. If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, call us or Camplify on 0800 779 779
• DAMAGE If damage happens, you must report it immediately who, what, where and when will be required.
• Camper must return cleaned or risk a cleaning fee

• Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

  This is the second time we have hired Melissa and Alan's campervan and we absolutely loved it again! The campervan is incredibly easy to drive and so comfortable to travel in. Melissa and Alan present the campervan beautifully. It is clean, organised and they really have thought of everything! We loved ever second of our trip and can't wait to book with them again.

  We've just come back from a 16 day trip adventuring down the South Island. Melissa and her son Jackson gave us all the information we needed with the handover. The bed was all set up in the main compartment, even with a topper pad provided. That bed was sooooo comfortable. This motorhome handles like a dream. It provides all the comforts of home. The vision whilst driving is fantastic and the rear camera gives you a clear view of cars behind you at all times. Which allows you to pull over if needs be. The extra information about keeping an eye on the height of rural service stations was a godsend .Highly recommend Red Beach Horizon as a way to see this amazing country of ours.
