Built around the extremely fuel efficient and spacious Mazda Biante, Barry is easy to drive being an automatic and will use around 40% less fuel than a standard van. An upgraded version of Billy (check my other listings to see the great reviews of Billy), I've designed the new van to have more space but fit an even better sleeping area! You'll find a premium High-density dual sided foam mattress to assure the best nights sleep you can get (bed is 190cm x 130cm). The van is self-contained and has a fixed toilet under the bed base, along with plenty of storage. The kitchen area is in the boot of the car and has a dual ring cooker, good quality stainless steel cookware, cutlery and all the utensils you should need. Barry also has a basic pantry which includes olive oil, salt + pepper and some cooking spices.

Being a chef by trade, I like to use good equipment so you will find some premium quality, basic cooking equipment, double gas burner, salt & pepper, olive oil and some spices, all ready for you to hit the road. Most importantly a coffee plunger for a morning brew. The van is located in Fernhill but I may be able to meet you at the airport depending on my work schedule. Linen is included and consists of bedding, 2 pillows, 2 bath towels and some tea towels. Additional airport drop-off is only the initial collection of the van.

Cancellations

Strict

  • Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Barry absolutely made our New Zealand trip. From day one, he was incredibly easy to driveeven tackling winding mountain roads felt smooth and stress-free, which says a lot for a van. The setup inside was honestly perfect. The kitchen was such a highlightwe used the utensils constantly, and everything we needed was there, making cooking on the road super convenient. The esky was also a standout, keeping everything fresh and making day trips so much easier. Sleeping in Barry was surprisingly comfortable. There was so much space to stretch out, and the storage was amazingwe never felt cramped, even with all our stuff for nearly two weeks. Everything had its place, which made living in the van feel really organised and easy. Best of all, we had zero issues the entire trip. Barry was reliable from start to finish, which gave us so much peace of mind while travelling around. Couldnt have asked for a better vanBarry really was the MVP of the trip.

    We had a great little road trip with Barry. It is Small and compact but it has everything you need for a short road trip, and its great value for money. Very well equipped. Great communication too. We originally booked their other van Billy but it needed maintenance and they offered us Barry instead.
