Barry absolutely made our New Zealand trip. From day one, he was incredibly easy to driveeven tackling winding mountain roads felt smooth and stress-free, which says a lot for a van. The setup inside was honestly perfect. The kitchen was such a highlightwe used the utensils constantly, and everything we needed was there, making cooking on the road super convenient. The esky was also a standout, keeping everything fresh and making day trips so much easier. Sleeping in Barry was surprisingly comfortable. There was so much space to stretch out, and the storage was amazingwe never felt cramped, even with all our stuff for nearly two weeks. Everything had its place, which made living in the van feel really organised and easy. Best of all, we had zero issues the entire trip. Barry was reliable from start to finish, which gave us so much peace of mind while travelling around. Couldnt have asked for a better vanBarry really was the MVP of the trip.

The van was everything we needed for a four day whirlwind tour up the west coast. Matt was responsive to our last minute request, and flexible when we had to adjust our pick-up time. Definitely would recommend!

Our holiday was terrific and the van was very easy to drive and park . I would think sleeping 4 people would be very difficult but 2 adults it was comfortable and cooking was easy . It was off grid for everything except using microwave which we didnt need and due to the ample public toilets we did not use the one on board. Overall a good experience and Mathew was very friendly and helpful.

We had a great little road trip with Barry. It is Small and compact but it has everything you need for a short road trip, and its great value for money. Very well equipped. Great communication too. We originally booked their other van Billy but it needed maintenance and they offered us Barry instead.

Amazing experience! Christèle (50) and Thierry (53) and I had a fantastic road trip in a campervan, accompanying my daughter Lise, who owns one and has been in New Zealand since October 2025. She showed us around part of the South Island of New Zealand, making for a wonderful experience. It was a great experience for both of us, as we'd never done a road trip in a campervan before. Perhaps it's the start of new adventures for our next vacation... Aboard Hilary the Hyundai, owned by Matthew Thorpe, we enjoyed a 10-day road trip in a very well-equipped vehicle, covering approximately 1,500 km. The campervan is very well-equipped for two people, and the presence of a refrigerator is a real plus for a road trip in the mountains. Matthew is very responsive and professional; we were able to contact him, and he always answered our questions. I highly recommend it for your next vacation.
