This van has been fully converted by us here in Queenstown in 2025, with a lot of care to make it simple, practical and really cosy to travel in. It is fully insulated, which makes a big difference both in summer and on cooler nights. It’s a compact VW Transporter, so very easy to drive and park, while still having everything you need for a comfortable trip. Everything is set up so you can just arrive and go: - Certified self-contained (freedom camping compliant) - Convertible Queen size bed with fresh linen & heaps of storage underneath - Sink with electric pump tap (25L water tanks) - Tableware, pots, pans and cooking utensils - Tea & coffee, salt & pepper, oil and a few cooking essentials - Gas stove - Fridge (22L) - 12V battery system for lights and charging (solar) - Solar shower - Table and chairs - Roof rack A bike rack can be added to your booking for $5/day. Airport delivery is available for $50 per booking. Diesel Road User Charges: All diesel vehicles in NZ incur these charges, which helps cover wear and tear on the roads, as diesel is sold tax free at the pump. These are charged at $0.09/km at the end of your trip and you will only pay for the distance actually travelled.
