It’s been our happy place on wheels, and now it’s ready share the same magic with someone else ✨ She’s automatic, super easy to drive, and very fuel-efficient, so you can explore New Zealand without stress (or burning your budget on petrol!). Inside, you’ll find everything you need for a comfy, simple, and unforgettable trip: 🛏️ Cozy bed for two – we’ve prioritized the sleeping area, so there’s plenty of space to sleep comfortably! Linen, pillows, duvet cover, and blanket are included. Extra blankets or towels can be added upon request. 🍳 Cooking setup with stove, chilly bin, and sink – everything you might need for simple cooking is included, plus some coffee, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and pepper. 🪑 Camping table, chairs, and awning, as well as an indoor table for when the weather isn’t the best. A 10 m extension LED light is also included to make the most of your nights outdoors. 🎲 A few games for long trips or quiet evenings – trivia, conversation cards, a puzzle, and a frisbee. 🚽 Portable toilet – included for your comfort and convenience. If you’re looking for a reliable, easy-going van with character and good vibes — this is the one. Van Height Info – Height measured from the ground to the top of the van is 1835 mm, the width is 1690 mm, and the length is 4350 mm. Hiring rules

  • Offroad driving: Please stick to sealed roads only.
  • Pets: Pets are not allowed, thank you for understanding.
  • Smoking: Smoking or vaping isn’t permitted inside the vehicle due to odors.
  • The van must be returned clean inside, including dishes, stove, and an empty gray water tank.
  • Comes with a full fuel tank—must be returned with a full tank.
  • Uses 91 petrol.
  • Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Strict

  • Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Martin and his campervan, Tanga, paved the way to one of the best trips of our lives. His communication was clear, he is a knowledgeable outdoorsman and taught us all aspects we needed to fully enjoy the campervan. He was always available for communication with a smile. The van operated well, was fun to drive, and decent on gas. Well worth the price. We highly recommend renting this campervan.

    Renting Tanga was a breeze thanks to Martin. Hes easily the best host I could have hoped to deal with - very punctual and even treated me to a coffee at the start of the trip. What really stood out was his communication. Even when I made a mistake and thought we were missing cutlery, his first instinct was to offer a full reimbursement for new ones. The van itself is "road-ready" in every sense. Since the owners used it themselves for years, theyve already figured out all the essentials. They provide towels, bug repellent, and games, so you really don't need to worry about the small details. A perfect 5-star experience.

    We loved our time in little Tangarita! Although not large in size (or engine), Tanga has lots of personality and is a great base to explore NZ from. Martin and Paolina have really made this an incredible portable home - cosy and practical. Martin was super communicative and great to deal with, and always responsive for any questions. Would really recommend Tanga, we were sad to say bye but happy for the memories!
