Airport delivery is per trip to the airport. ie once for arrivals and once for departures. Driving tips. • Do not exceed 90kms per hour. • Right-hand drive reminder (for internationals) • 5 speed manual transmission • Runs on 91 unleaded and gets around 600kms per tank. • The van is 2.7 meters high. Comfort & setup clarity • Self Contained Certified for off grid camping • 2 stove cooktop & grill • It’s best for 2 people, but can sleep and has seatbelts for 3 • The van’s sound system is fairly basic. If music is important to you, we recommend bringing a Bluetooth speaker or hiring one of ours • One double bed with linen, 2 pillows and duvet. A small pull-out bed above main bed. This bed requires the hirer to bring or hire a sleeping bag. • A small tent is available to hire • Good under bed / seat storage • Comes with 2 outdoor chairs and a fold out table • Can plug into house power for full power or run the fridge when running on on-board power. The on-board power charges when the motor is running and also by a (small) solar panel. The on-board power is separate to the starter battery so using it will not run the engine battery flat Rules • No off-road use • No festivals • No pets or smoking • The van is GPS tracked, there are no cameras • South Island hires only. The van is not insured on the ferries between the North & South islands • The van will be supplied with a full tank of petrol (91) and is to be returned with a full tank. The hirer will be charged for filling the tank if returned not full. Optional hire gear: • Bluetooth speaker – $5.00/day • Starlink Mini (unlimited data) – $75.00/day or $400.00/week • EcoFlow Delta 2 – $50.00/day or $250.00/week • 2 kVA Honda generator – $50.00/day or $250.00/week • Personal Locator Beacon – $10.00/day ($600.00 if activated) • 2-person tent – $5.00/day • Sleeping bags – $5.00/day • Single air mattress – $5.00/day • Double air mattress – $5.00/day • Two-way radios – $5.00/day • Portable butane single-hob cooktop – $5.00/day

  The van was great, really well setup and everything you would need for a trip around NZ. The experience ended a bit sour as the owner charged me $80 to send a few items we'd forgotten in the van back to Auckland. I later found out that it only cost $8.80 in postage... I also warned him that there was a slight chance I may have gotten a parking ticket and to let me know, and I would send him the money. He then tried to get me to send him $80 for this even though nothing had arrived yet. I also realised I forgot a new bluetooth speaker in the van and never heard back about it. Disappointing end to a good trip. The van is great, I'd be worried about the owner's honesty if anything more severe had gone wrong.

Regarding the items left behind, we were more than happy to help get those back to you. The $80 fee we agreed upon covered not just the postage, but also the time and care taken to securely package your belongings and the special trip to the post office to ensure they were on their way to Auckland quickly. On the bluetooth speaker, I sincerely apologise if my previous message didn't come through! I did a thorough turnover and clean of the van immediately after your hire, but unfortunately, no speaker was found. Since then, the van has been out with other guests, so I'm very sorry it hasn't turned up. We truly value the honesty you showed regarding the potential parking ticket, too! We love hosting travelers like you and are so glad that, overall, you had a wonderful trip exploring our beautiful country. Safe travels on your next journey!

  Amazing, the van is such a classic NZ van. None of that fake Jucy new trash. If you want an iconic van experience this is it. She ain't fast, she ain't sexy, definitely has some quirks but 10/10 would recommend. Cam is a local legend as well and was super easy to work with.
