As a small van Luna doesn't have a separate bathroom but a fixed cassette toilet is supplied for your convenience if you are on-the-road. Stay at one of the many DOC (Department of Conservation) or local council campsites they have toilet facilities. Otherwise park up at some of New Zealand's fabulous privately-owned camping grounds for hot showers, bathroom and laundry facilities. Lockable safe included. As a point of difference Luna has some free extras. * A phone with unlimited fast data which you can hotspot off and has free unlimited NZ calls. * Lonely planet guidebooks, games, water filter jug for safe drinking water and to reduce purchasing plastic bottles to name a few * We can also offer mattress toppers if you want a super soft bed and if you have enough space and a chilli bin (aka ice bix/cooler/esky) for extended stationery off grid holidays * If there is anything else you may need that is not listed, please let us know, we will try to accommodate your request. Very sizeable fridge to keep all your food fresh and beverages chilled. Linen cost is an additional $60.00. The bedding includes natural feather duvets - they are cozy and warm on cool nights and cool on hot nights. Pillows, sheets, and towels are also included in your linen pack. Kitchen equipment including pots, pans, kettle, coffee plunger, chopping board, kitchen utensils, plates, cups and cutlery for up to 4 people, cleaning products, bucket, dustpan and brush, rubbish bags and dishwashing liquid. 6 rolls of loo paper is provided to get you started but remember to buy some more if you run out.

Hiring rules

• Emergency If an accident occurs, get off the road, stay safe, call Camplify on 0800 779 779
• Damage If damage happens, you must report it immediately who, what, where and when will be required.
• Inline with Camplify policies please don't attempt to change tyres or jumpstart unless it is an absolutely emergency situation please phone Camplify on 0800 779 779 and they will arrange the AA to come out to assist you (there is no charge for the AA to assist you).
• No Smoking inside the vehicle
• No off road/No Beach Driving/No Extended Gravel Roads/No Skifield access roads/No Skippers Canyon Road/No Festivals
• Unsealed roads must be preapproved in writing in Camplify Messages before the trip begins.
• Please be familiar with the exclusions, terms and conditions of the booking.
• RUCs Road User Charges (RUCs) will be charged at the rate of $0.09 per kilometer. The total RUCs will be calculated on the distance travelled during the hire period and will be charged to the hirer on completion of the hire.
• Long trips Hirers are welcome to take the van up to 200 kilometres a day. This will be averaged out over the duration of hire. Example: 5 days hire 5 x 200km Allowance: 1000km for hire permitted in the rate, additional kms will be charged at 30c per km and deducted on completion of the hire.
• Fuel Return full of DIESEL All hires include a full tank upon departure. If not returned full there will be a refueling fee of $50.00 plus the cost of the diesel.
• Cleaning Vehicle must be returned cleaned thoroughly inside or you’ll risk a cleaning fee.
• Emptying Empty cassette and grey water upon return. If not empty, will incur a $50.00 charge.
• Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.
• Pets not allowed
• When cooking inside you must leave roof vent and door open.

  Luna is definitely worth recommending. Shes very economical for a vehicle of this size and surprisingly easy to drive and maneuver. Everything worked perfectly and the whole experience was smooth and hassle-free. Kirrily & Char were incredibly kind, friendly, and very helpful throughout. I highly recommend Luna to anyone considering renting her!

  We had Luna for 14 days and it was the best decision we could have made. Spacious and the perfect size to park anywhere. We travelled all around the South Island and never had a single issue. Super comfortable for two people and highly recommended. Kirrily and Char provided a phone with all the information on campgrounds and routes, which helped us a lot during our trip.
