She's a trusted Mercedes Sprinter 3 berth Kea Nomad M700 based out of the Coromandel Peninsula and we’re sharing her with you as we believe this is the best way to travel and experience New Zealand’s beauty and people. Location: The Coromandel Peninsula!! Consider starting your NZ travel experience from one of New Zealand's most beautiful locations. We are based in Whitianga less than 30 mins from the famous Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach and many secluded coastal white sand beaches. It's just a 30min plane ride from Auckland or Tauranga Airport (in small planes) or grab a shuttle bus. We are also offering alternative delivery and pickup locations (see additional info section below) The layout: - There are seatbelts for 3 people - The large rear lounge can be set up for sleeping in two ways. Opt 1 - Full bed sized 1.8m wide x 1.85m long. Opt 2 - Fixed bed sized 1.2m wide x 1.8m long allowing for some lounge seating to remain. - The front third seat folds out to a Small bed sized 0.8m wide x 1.75m long. - Set up a table in the rear lounge and at the same time a dinette table at the front. Just spin the front cab seats around. - Shower with toilet, cupboards and Kitchen form the mid-section of the van. Comfort & Entertainment: - Tinted windows have proved a winning feature providing excellent privacy during the day whilst blackout curtains provide privacy at night. - We provide a foam topper and quality linen for a cosy sleep. - Diesel heater is very quick to heat inside if needed. - LCD screen has a DVD player and USB/HDMI connectivity. We provide a HDMI cable for you to connect your devices to and a Dish TV if you have Wi-fi with you to stream shows. - USB charging ports located at the front and rear. - Radio & speakers in rear lounge. - Lockbox under seating for your precious possessions. Off-Grid or Power hook up: - 340w Solar panels & 2x 125ah AGM batteries - With an upgraded solar setup you can stay off-grid and freedom camp for longer. - Or you can also plug in to power at any of the many wonderful NZ campgrounds. - Certified Self-contained which is a requirement for Freedom camping parks around NZ - Shower & Chemical toilet - Fresh Water Tank (120L), Grey Water Tank (120L) and gas water heater for hot showers, cooking and dishes. Cooking & Dining: - The kitchen has a 3-burner gas cooker, rangehood & sink with hot water - Fully equipped with items like utensils, cutlery, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, pots, toaster, kettle, espresso maker and a basic pantry (oil, soya sauce, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, tea, coffee, sugar etc) - 130L Fridge/Freezer - it’s amazing what it can fit - The slide out external gas BBQ, 2x camping chairs, table, lap throw and van mounted exterior light – Picture relaxing enjoying a meal in nature as the sun sets. Adventure: - Bike rack for 2 bikes under 20kg each - Plenty of storage space overhead and under seating for your adventuring toys. Driving Ease: - Automatic Transmission - She's a breeze to drive riding more like a large car than a van - At 1.9m internal standing height and 7m external length we feel she hits the right balance between having enough room to live and also be able to park with ease – consider dodging low tree branches and finding parking spaces! - Reversing camera is super handy - AC in drivers cab for comfort
