Getting to Rotorua from Auckland Airport is simple and flexible. Travellers can choose a quick 45-minute domestic flight, a budget-friendly InterCity coach from Auckland city, or enjoy a scenic 3-hour drive in a rental car. For easy, door-to-door comfort, shared shuttles and private transfers operate directly from the airport. Taxis and rideshares are also available for those wanting the most convenient (but costlier) option.

Strictly no off roading allowed.
Van will be full of petrol when you pick up it MUST be full when you bring it back.

Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

Pricing

Hire Fee: From $110.00 per day

Cancellations

Flexible

Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

Awesome experience hiring Papa Smurf! Our small family had a great trip. The van was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We were freedom camping, so the solar panels and battery setup were perfect for charging our devices. It was hot while we were there so the fridge was a big bonus. Hannes was easy going and great to deal with. The handover was clear and straightforward, and he explained everything really well. Would definitely recommend and would happily hire again!

Hannes was incredibly helpful and supportive of our needs. Papa Smurf was an awesome van and we enjoyed lots of Father and sons time very comfortably inside as the weather unfortunately was terrible. Highly recommend Hannes and Papa Smurf!! Thank you so much Hannes

What an incredible experience, the campervan was in very good condition with plenty of space, well-equipped, and perfect for freedom camping. Everything from the kitchen setup to the bedding made the trip on the road easy and comfortable. Hannes was friendly, explained all the features clearly and was always reachable.
