• Drivers must be 25 years or older
• Must hold a full driver’s license (valid for NZ or an approved international equivalent)
• Licensee & Passport must be presented at pickup
• 🕒 Pickup & Return
• Pickup: 9.30 AM to 1 PM
• Return: by 4pm on return day unless otherwise arranged
• Please return the camper in the same condition you received it
• Late returns may incur additional charges unless preapproved
• ⛽ Fuel & Fluids
• Vehicle comes with a full tank of diesel – please return it full
• Failure to refuel will incur a refueling fee
• Please also refill the LPG bottle if it’s used extensively during your trip
• RUC Fee $110.00 Per 1,000kms.
• Daily allowance 200kms Additional kms $0.33c per km
• 🧼 Cleaning
• Camper should be returned clean and tidy
• A cleaning fee may apply if returned excessively dirty (inside)
• Please empty toilet cassette and grey water tank before return
• 🚫 NoGo Rules
• No smoking inside the vehicle
• No pets
• No offroad driving (including beaches, rivers, or snow unless approved)
• Not to be driven on Skippers Canyon, 90 Mile Beach, or other prohibited roads

  We absolutely loved the TRAVLA. 3 adults slept comfortably. The back converts to a queen bed, or can be used as two singles, and the seat folds down to a cot. Linens were included. The TRAVLA is diesel, had good gas mileage, handled beautifully on tight mountain roads, and was easy to maneuver in and out of parking spots. The battery easily powered lights and hot water in the evenings, so self contained freedom camping was no problem. We cooked full meals with the small 3 burner cooktop, and found all the kitchen equipment we needed already stocked. We paid attention to all the other styles of camper vans while on our trip, and would choose the Travla again in a heartbeat. Lastly, Kimberly and her team were always responsive and communicative, picking us up from our hostel and meeting us at the airport for drop off. Our experience in NZ, and with SoelOutdoors, was a 10/10!
