Double glazed and well insulated, this Dethleffs Sunlight i69 is called an A-Class with good reason! With a feeling of space that is a luxury in a motorhome, superior driveability, wrap-around front lounge windows that make the journey exciting, not just the destination, this will be an adventure you will remember for all the right reasons. First on the road in January 2022, Far Far Away still has the New Motorhome smell. Very easy to drive, on a standard car licence. Reduced rate "Staycations" available on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast. Ask me for more info... IMPORTANT STUFF: This is a 9-speed true automatic (rather than the 6 speed Comformatic gearbox), giving you a noticeably smoother ride and better fuel economy. Three drive modes for even greater economy, or overtaking those slower motorhomes up hills. Rear view camera and cruise control, of course.  It has a well-equipped kitchen with a 3-burner gas hob and gas oven & grill; microwave (for powered sites); a large 3-way fridge with separate large freezer.  Separate rear bedroom with a very comfortable Island bed, wardrobes and skylight to watch the stars…  The queen size dropdown bed in the cab has privacy curtains and doesn’t block the use of the lounge space.  A modern and spacious separate toilet and shower.  Central heating throughout – including the bathroom and garage. THE FUN STUFF:  Automatic Satellite TV which swivels to watch from the lounge or bed.  Two solar panels for extended off-grid adventures.  Android and Apple Car Play. Stereo is independent of the engine battery.  Large awning with outdoor table and chairs, and use of a BBQ for a small extra charge.  3-bike rack and room in the huge garage for all your toys. Free off-street parking for the duration of your trip if you arrive by car.

My motorhome is fully equiped for your travelling enjoyment - including a hairdryer! Just bring your own consumables. A full list of items is available on request. I offer free off-street parking for the duration of your trip if you arrive by car. I'm also happy to meet you at the Gulf Harbour Ferry if you are travelling from Auckland City. I live 15 minutes from the motorway North, on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast - a holiday destination in itself! I offer a reduced rate for a "Staycation" at either Orewa Beach, Red Beach or Shakespeare Regional Park. You drive to the location of choice and get the use of my beautiful motorhome in a stunning location, but no keys to drive it. Something to consider! I offer a Daily Rate discount for hires over 4 weeks, depending on the time of the year.

Hiring rules

  • Hiring Rules:
  • Road User Charges (RUC) and AdBlue charges are additional and calculated according to kms travelled. Road User Charges (RUC) are charged at a rate of $0.09 per km.
  • Vehicle must be returned clean on the inside with full tank of diesel, gas bottles refilled please, and grey water and toilet cassette emptied. Failure to so may result in a Service Fee of $150.00, plus the cost of diesel and gas. NO cleaning of outside of Motor Home is necessary.
  • Out of consideration to the next traveller, No cooking of strongsmelling foods such as curries inside the vehicle, please, or will incur a deodorising fee.
  • No smoking or vaping in the vehicle or under the awning. Smells cling to surfaces. Failure to comply would result in extra cleaning fees.
  • The hire fee is for Two people. An extra $20.00 per night per extra person surcharge will apply.
  • No pets permitted, sorry.
  • If using the BBQ, this must be returned clean, or a Cleaning Fee of $60.00 will apply.
  • To comply with insurance restrictions, this motorhome can only be driven on sealed roads. No unsealed roads, and no sand in ANY circumstances. North of Colville Township on the Coromandel Peninsula or any ski field access roads are also not permitted. This is for your safety as well as the vehicle.
  • Pick up and return times are between 9:30am and 4:00pm. Late returns may be possible by prior negotiation.
  • Please allow around 1 hour to complete the hiring familiarisation procedures, and 1520 minutes for drop off signoff.
  • Now you can sit back and enjoy a fabulous holiday!
  • Hirer must be 28 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    We had a great time. The beds are very comfortable. We cooked in the kitchen and everything worked well. We did not use the shower as we were staying in camp grounds and used their facilities. We did end our trip early but that was weather related .
