Superbly kitted out and spacious - Wilkin is a super tidy, comfortable and practical van for your kiwi road trip. -Big kitchen bench with a modern gas cook top and sink will make you feel like you are cooking at home. - Diesel heater and fully insulated to keep you warm wherever you are. - Loads of solar meaning you will never run out of power and can use your electronics wherever you go. - Lots of well designed space maximising storage within the main area of the van and below the bed. If you want to take your bike with you Wilkin is the van for you with specially designed storage to transport two bikes. - For surfers there is a surf board rack on the outside of the van. - Drives more like a car than a sluggish bad handling van. - Super comfy mattress. Note that the bed is about180cm long so if you are tall you will need to bring those knees in a bit in bed! - Wicked roof deck on top to hang out and enjoy the sunset. - Skylight / fan with remote control to regulate airflow in van. - Outdoor tables and chairs. These things and much more make Wilkin just better than your typical 2 berth campervan!

Hiring rules

  • Rules:
  • Pick up and drop off from Queenstown airport. Wanaka is also a possibility but would need to be agreed prior.
  • No smoking inside.
  • Cooking must be done with a window open
  • On return the van must be cleaned well inside to a similar standard as it was found.
  • On return the grey water must be emptied and fresh water refilled.
  • If used, the toilet must be emptied and cleaned.
  • A $150.00 cleaning fee may be applied for failure on any of the above.
  • Hirer must be 21 years of age or older.

Cancellations

Flexible

  • Cancel earlier than 10 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Cancel between 4 and 10 days before the start of the booking and receive 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
  • Cancellations less than 4 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

    Highly recommend this camper. It far exceeded our expectations. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered, from the included speaker to the overall setup. Weve rented campers before, and this was by far the best. The magnetic blinds were very easy to use, the space was well designed, the bed was extremely comfortable, and there was plenty of storage. There was a small issue prior to receiving the van, but Richard handled it quickly and efficiently. We would definitely hire from Richard again.

    We had an incredible holiday in Wilkin! Richard is very responsive and always happy to help. The van was in great condition and had everything we needed. Drove great :)

    We had a great time with Wilkin. Has everything you need and feels spacious. The solar panel provides more than enough energy to power up your devices. Wilkin drives really well and has good fuel efficiency.

    Great van. Great communication from Richard and Joachim. A couple hiccups (battery died on pickup and diesel heater failed half way through trip) but we believe no one was at fault - sometimes these things happen. Richard had great communication and rectified issue. If youre tall (Im 61) you may have to sleep diagonal or curled up, no issue for short period of time. Overall would recommended and would book again!
