  Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate the opportunity to respond and clarify a few points. Our listing states that the vehicle is located in Mercer, on the outskirts of Auckland, so guests are aware of the pickup location before booking. To make the process as convenient as possible, we also offer a complimentary airport pickup and drop off, which you chose to utilise. With regard to towels, our listing states that Bed Linen is included. However, we are always happy to provide towels or extra items when requested. Prior to your hire, the vehicle had undergone a full service and had recently passed its Certificate of Fitness inspection. During the handover, we also explained that due to New Zealands often hilly and winding roads, the vehicle performs best when lower gears are used where appropriate. This helps provide a smoother driving experience while reducing unnecessary brake wear and the risk of brakes overheating. We genuinely value feedback, as it helps us continue to improve both our service and the information we provide to future travellers.   Really appreciated how kind and helpful Alf was throughout the rental, as well as making the extra effort to pick up and drop us off at the airport. The van is a simple setup, which could work well for short trips or those who prefer a minimal style of travel. There were a few aspects, like the tap system, that might benefit from some upgrades, but overall a straightforward experience with a lovely host.

  We had a wonderful time travelling 2.5 months with Mickey. Alf does a great job maintaining his vans, he even shuttles you from Auckland to the van and back thats a big plus compared to other vans on the platform. We happely recommend renting a van from Alf.

  We were really grateful for the smooth start to our holiday. Alf picked us up from Auckland airport and we set off with all the information we needed. The van had everything that we required for the two weeks we enjoyed travelling around the North Land, staying in both "Freedom" and paid camp sites. We would definitely recommend hiring "Mikey"!!
