Great van to take for a holiday in NZ, I can't stress how good this vehicle was!! Shane was fantastic in dealing with whatever came up. This is the best camper van deal going on the internet.

Absolutely perfect experience! Our RV (Stan) was in incredible condition. It was stocked with all the necessities to make the trip enjoyable. Shane was excellent with communication and providing all the information needed. Skip the overpriced companies and go with Springlight to get better quality and price.

Hired Sunny in November 2025 for three weeks of adventure in South Island from Springlight. Did the handover with Shane who methodically went through everything with me. Nothing was too much trouble for Shane and even followed me back to the airport to drop off a hire car, then return to Sunny. Any contact with him before, during and after the hire was helpful and friendly. We had the bedding set up as two singles, which was ideal, as we didnt disturb each other during the night. The three way fridge and freezer was large enough for a decent shop. The camper had a very large boot. We were able to store all our luggage in it, leaving valuable room inside the van. Most of our trip was spent in free camps, so the addition of a large table and camp chairs that fitted neatly in the boot was a real bonus. The Fiat Campervan handled well, with six gears capability, we negotiated the twists and turns of alpine roads with ease. Thanks again to Shane and Springlight for a memorable holiday.

Highly recommend SpringLight. Shane kindly picked us up at airport, the handover of Poppie was comprehensive. It was lovely to have some tasty kiwi snacks, and starter items. The van was spotless, with quality bedding, and was very well equipped. We unfortunately had to call for a roadside assistance truck on our way back to return Poppie, and were thus delayed returning to Christchurch, but Shane was great, meeting us at the truck drop off point, and driving us back to the airport, and was also very happy to arrange the return of our hire bikes with the rental company. All round a great experience, with great communication and exceptional caring service from Shane, would definitely hire again from SpringLight

Fabulous experience renting the Skylark from SpringLight Motorhomes, everything from start to finish exceeded my expectations. Theyre located close to CHC airport and provide FREE airport pick-up/drop-off. The handover brief was thorough and clear. The RV itself was in pristine condition, and very comfortable, with big bed and seperate toilet/shower. Extras like camping chairs & table and leveling ramps are nice to have included in the price too. Additionally, theres a beautiful RV campsite right next door, with all required facilities (laundry, water & dump station etc) which is a great option for the last nights stay before returning the RV.

We recently hired Eleanor, a motorhome from Springlight Motorhomes, and had an excellent experience from start to finish. Shane, the owner, was fantastic to deal withprofessional, friendly, and incredibly thorough during the handover. He made sure we understood everything we needed to know before heading off, and throughout our trip he was quick to respond to any questions we had. Elenore herself offered a genuinely premium experience. For a couple in our 40s, the space was nice and roomy, the near king-size bed at the rear remained comfortable even after two weeks on the road, the decent-size fridge, reliable central heating, hot water with good pressure and the 32" smart TV with streaming made it feel like we had all the comforts of home wherever we were. Our journey did come with a few unexpected hiccups: a tyre blowout, a cracked windscreen from a stone kicked up by an oncoming vehicle, and someone even hit the front of the van in a car park while we werent there damaging paint and busting the headlight. Thankfully, we had the Happy Camper level insurance, which we cant recommend highly enough. Windscreen and tyre coverage were included at no extra cost, and although we had to pay a $500 excess for the damage caused by the other driver, it was nothing compared to what we could have been out of pocket for without the top-level cover. Overall, we highly recommend Springlight Motorhomes. The motorhome was superb, the support was great, and we would 100% hire from Shane again on our next adventure.

Shane and SpringLight Motorhomes were perfect for our adventure around New Zealand. We rented Travis for two weeks and couldnt fault the van or the service. Communication was seamless and airport pick up/drop off was an added bonus. Thanks again guys!

We hired Cheeky Charlie for our trip around New Zealand and had a fantastic experience. The vehicle was exactly as described in the listing, very comfortable, and perfect for exploring the country. Everything worked as expected, and we had a great time travelling in it. Would happily recommend, and we will definitely be using Shane and Springlight for our next New Zealand adventure.

It was way more fun than we expected. Had an awesome time in an awesome country
