  A brilliant little van for a week or a long weekend

  My partner and I spent 10 days in this van and we can say it was one of the best weeks of our life. Exploring South Island New Zealand by van is an unreal experience and you can stop and go at your own pace to take in all the beautiful scenery! Vikki and Ben were wonderful in communication and the van was the perfect size with great amenities and comfy mattress!

  The Van was perfect; it made our vacations comfortable. Everithing was in good shape and well mantained. We also appreciate Tom's felxibility to made this camper available in order to replace the previous one which presented some mechanical difficulties. We would certainly rent it again in next trip.

  My partner and I rented Minnie for three weeks to explore the South Island, and she exceeded all our expectations! From the very beginning, Cintia went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable trip. She was incredibly attentive, always quick to respond, and made us feel completely supported throughout our journey. As for Minnieshes an absolute gem! Easy to drive, fuel-efficient, and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, she made our adventure both comfortable and stress-free. We couldnt have asked for a better travel companion. If were lucky enough to return to the South Island, renting Minnie again would be at the top of our list

  It was a great campervan with enough space for 2 people to travel around New Zealand. The kitchen utilities were limited, so we have added quite a few items ourselves.

  Great, Munroe got us from A to B with no issues at all. Kevin was very accommodating with us changing our pickup/dropoff times.

  An extraordinary trip, made even better thanks to the comfort of the van! Sleeping in the rooftop tent or inside, everything is there to enjoy a wonderful holiday and discover New Zealand!! Ayad is lovely and extremely responsive, which made the whole rental experience even more enjoyable !! Thanks a lot it was perfect

  Damon was amazing!! He was always quick to respond and incredibly helpful whenever we had questions. The van, Phillip, held up perfectly throughout our trip and made everything so easy. We would absolutely recommend renting from Damon and would happily do it again.

  Travelling with Zara during one week was fantastic ! Inside the van, everything is well designed and convenient. We also slept very well. In addition to that, the communication with Clare & Rowan was excellent all along. They also gave us great and kind recommendations for our travel ! This first experience as van-campers was just memorable, so we strongly recommend travelling with Zara ! Merci beaucoup

  We had an amazing time as a family of four (with children of 1 and 3) in Nick and Bryonys motorhome. We drove around north and south islands for 6 weeks. The motorhome has heaps of space and no need to move/change bedding as it offers two fixed beds and additionally accessible storage space - huge plus! We really loved it and had smooth communication with Nick throughout the journey for questions tips and unfortunately some damage. Nick was very supportive. Would definitely recommend for families!!

  This van is perfect for a travelling couple. The bed can be left made up and use the table a the front or sit outside. The awning is great for shade or if it is a little showery. Hot water works well and pressure is good. We stayed off grid for several nights in a row and never had power issues. Plenty of charge points and storage. Easy to drive and comfortable to ride in. Good visibility for the scenery. Soel Outdoors made the whole hire process effortless. We had airport pick up and delivery and questions were answered very promptly. We would definitely hire from Soel Outdoors again.

  I recently travelled around in this van for 10 days covering nearly 2000km so I became quite familiar Van Dora! I had the absolute best experience from the moment I booked until the very end of my trip. Craig picked me up from the Airport and gave me a very detailed run through of the van and then sent me on my way! It's a very well thought out design and has a very cozy, private and homely feel to it, and you can tell that Meg has put a lot of work into making it perfect. It was very simple to change from seats and table to a bed. The bed was very comfortable and she added linen and blankets for free. She included all the pots, pans and cutlery you need to cook a good meal and coffee etc, and the gas cooker works very effectively. She also added a brochure to read which had detailed info about the van and how to use everything, and a lot of suggestions about spots to visit. The driving experience of Van Dora took a little while to get used to. If you are used to driving a modern car or even a lot of modern vans, it is completely different to that. I would say it drives more like a small truck. It was no frills- no AC, no cruise control, crank windows, 5 speed manual. The heater worked great though. Personally I loved the simplicity of her but if you want all the creature comforts of a modern vehicle this is probably not the van for you. She also tackled the many NZ hills with absolute ease. I was genuinely so surprised! She will easily get up to 100km/h and maintain that, but I found the most comfortable cruising speed to be around 80km/h as I was in no rush to get anywhere. Something thing worth mentioning is she starts rough first thing in the morning, but never actually failed to start. Once she started, I just kept the revs up a little at idle until I went on my way. She was a turbo diesel, but I was amazed at how fuel efficient she was. I would recommend this van for that fact alone as most other vans you see on camplify are petrol and would most likely use nearly double the fuel that this did. Another big reason to hire this van is the ability to drive unlimited kilometres. Most other vans only allow 200km a day before including a surcharge. And I covered more than that on a lot of days. I also unfortunately caused some damage to the van but Meg and Craig could not have been more understanding about it. Van Dora got me everywhere I wanted to go with no hiccups at all. I am absolutely planning to hire her again in the future! Meg and Craig are absolutely legends, and I would recommend anyone to give this van a try!

  We had a great holiday driving around the South Island. The van was comfortable and travelled well. Appreciated all the extras including coffee plunger and cooking equipment plus a few surprise treats which were welcomed. The Duchess handled the roads well and had a good engine. The scenery was amazing and there are lots of good memories. Thanks to Shane for his help.

  Good van to park in busy areas. Quite economical. Good value for money Being a fiat all steering controls ( indicators/wipers) on other side but you get use to it. Reliable van

  We are experienced motorhomes and enjoyed our trip to New Zealand. David was a great host, prompt with communication and flexible when we needed to change plans at short notice.
