Tikva

Welcome to my Mercedes Sprinter - I call Tikva. Tikva is a Certified Self Contained motorhome for 4 people. Pets are welcome. but they would need a flea treatment before the hire. There would be an extra charge towards having a commerical internal van clean done after the hire. This 2.9 diesel automatic is easy to drive at 100km on flat road. A new engine was put in 2006. Only a car license is needed for those driving the van. Road User Charges which is a tax the government charges will be 0.9cents per kilometer i.e. $90 per 1000 kms. Road User Charges are to be paid at the end of your rental. Tikva has 5 seat belts, with two in drivers cab and three at the rear - the belt in the middle is a lap belt only. Tikva is perfect for freedom camping in any season. Tikva has a small fridge with a little ice box which runs off the solar battery or power if using a power site. A large fresh water tank (150 ltrs) and grey water (155ltrs) tank. Gas 🔥 hot water and diesel heater. There's a 20 litre Thetford cassette toilet, shower, radio with USB port, spotify and bluetooth in the cab, radio/CD player at the back and a small safe. Everything you need for starting a wonderful adventure around New Zealand is in Tikva. She's equipped with linen, pillows, duvets, towels, tea towels, plates, glasses, pots, cutlery, 4 hob gas top, electric and gas kettle/jug, electric toaster, portable outside gas canister stove, microwave ( if using a powered site) and basic first aid kit. There will be some basic supplies like toilet paper, hand soap, tea, coffee, sugar, basic herbs and spices, cooking oil, dish washing liquid and a few cleaning products for your use. An outdoor table and 2 folding chairs are supplied. You can walk through from the cab which is great on a New Zealand rainy day when stopping to enjoy the views from the large windows with a bite of lunch. Fly screens on windows in living area and the three roof vents let you enjoy the breeze. Tikva fits into a regular car park but at just over 3 meters high there's not enough clearance for the takeaway drives! I can be a bit flexible (depending on trains) with pick up/drop off locations in the Wellington/Wairarapa area.. There is a $50 pick up - drop off fee for the Wellington region. Pick up and drop off including one way hires may be arranged outside the Wellington/Wairarapa area with the renter agreeing to cover the additional costs i.e. Auckland $500 Christchurch $600 Queenstown $700. Just a little warning that if Tikva is returned late and there are additional costs for me i. e. change to ferry booking, flights, accommodation etc.involved as a result of the late return the renter will be liable for those costs Tikva resides in Masterton Wairarapa and you could start your travels seeing our spectacular coastline, visit one of the many vineyards, the boutique Martinborough Brewery, the park in Masterton and many other places of interest after you pick up Tikva.
