Welcome to Piki, our 2014 Fiat Ducato Rollerteam. Piki is easy to drive, fully self-contained with an automatic transmission, includes GPS navigation and a reverse camera. Create your own amazing memories travelling New Zealand in style and comfort. The 2.3L diesel turbo is fairly economical at 10L/100km but copes easily with NZ roads. Comfortable swiveling seats give a good lounge feel and keep the van short enough to park and turn easily. The vehicle has plenty of storage for any extra luggage or sports equipment. The kitchen includes a gas oven, cooktop, grill, large fridge freezer and we supply all the basic utensils, crockery, pots, pans, bowls etc. Happy to add any extras to save you bringing them too - eg Nespresso, larger pots, small hooded bbq (at a cost for cleaning), torches...etc French double bed and spacious bathroom at the rear of the vehicle. If you are travelling in the winter months we have a gas heater or electric fan heater to keep you cosy in the evenings. If you are off the grid the vehicle also includes a solar panel so freedom camping or use of DOC sites is easy without worrying about running out of battery power. Insect screens on all windows and cabin door. We supply plenty of fresh linen and bedding for your trip, including towels and tea towels. A second bed can be easily made up in the lounge area, it is quite narrow as a double so not suitable for two large people or kids who don't get on well! We don't recommend 4 adults using this van without the added tent as you'll feel squashed! The table can't be removed so can't accommodate baby seats, sorry. Booster seats are okay with table pushed down (but you'll have to move them to make the bed up). We have 1 booster seat free to borrow. The vehicle also includes a TV (no aerial so bring movies on USB or attach laptop with our supplied HDMI cable), radio/CD player, outdoor tables and chairs, mat, an awning and a bike rack. We are keen adventurers and are happy to negotiate use of any of our sports equipment including basic bikes (which will definitely include helmets), inflatable double kayak, stand up paddleboards, fishing rods, small tent and a bbq. Also wifi modem, bluetooth speaker, outdoor lighting etc, you name it, we probably have it. We are experts on great spots to visit and will help with trip planning. We also have great insurance with free breakdown cover, Camplify give options on excess. We recommend use of domestic travel insurance as well to cover all your options and kill off the excess, we like 1cover.co.nz (no, they don't pay us, we just used them when we rented campervans).
