  This van was exactly what we were looking for: a compact but efficiently designed self-contained van with all the camping gear we needed for a very reasonable price. The rental included all the bedding we needed, two camping chairs, a table, a fridge, plenty of cooking utensils, a two-burner gas stove with a full gas tank, and a little sink with fresh- and greywater tanks. The design of the van was such that you either have the bed set up in the back or you use it as storage for your bags. There is lots of storage under the bed but that isn't easily accessible once the bed is set up. This meant that every morning/night, we moved the cushions around to put our bags in the back of the van. Once we got the hang of that 'task', it only took us about 1 minute though. It is however very much an 'outdoor' van: you can't comfortably cook or sit inside, e.g. when it rains, so that is something to be aware of. Nonetheless the trunk door provides shelter while cooking in the back, and New Zealand has many great free campsites with cooking shelters in case the weather is really bad. Oli, the owner, handed us the van over in great condition with all the info we needed to set out on our roadtrip of the South Island. During the rental he was always easy and quick to communicate with.

  My holiday was good and having a vehicle that I could rely on, was easy to drive, comfortable to sleep in and also comfortable to sit in on wet days, made it even better. Any communications with Oli were always answered promptly. And he was a nice person to deal with on pick up and return of the van. Thanks Oli for making it easy.
